Jania looked over at Etna briefly, then turned back to Terra. "What is she? She looks like some kind of demon."
A man was running through the woods. Running so fast that he didn't exactly know how to stop when there was an obstacle he didn't see. So he hit a tree next to Raven "Oh god that smarts. Freaking trees in the way. Happens all the time. Oh hey look people I haven't seen those in this general area of this world" The man was wearing a blue shirt with a lighting bolt on it under his coat
Terra winced slightly when Scout started shouting, then again when some unknown man ran into a tree. Not really wanting to deal with either of them, Terra looked back at Jania. "She is... I... I hate her." she replied, a hint of anger creeping into her voice.
Jania looked at the Scout, then over at the new man hitting a tree. Always something going on with this group, it seems... She looked back at Terra. "Why? What has she done to you?"
Jacques made to retort, then stopped himself, running his hands through his hair in frustration.
"I... Scout, I... I'm sorry. It's just that.. I've seen so many friends die on the battlefield, or in accidents, or simply wither and perish under the slow decay of time. I don't want to see you suffer that fate. Not yet, at least. Not when it can be avoided. That is why I have been so insistent."

Jacques obeyed, rising to his feet and following Scout. He hesitated momentarily at the shadows in the threshold, but gritted his teeth and went inside, one hand on the grip of his blaster.
"It's not what she's done to me. It's what she does to others. The crow is a slaver. Treats her 'workers' as she calls them, like garbage. doesn't even let them have names. And judging by how terrified those poor creatures are of her, you can bet they are often beaten too..." Terra explained, airquoting when she said the word 'workers'.
"Far too late for that." Jacques said with a faint smile, then turned serious again.
"What is wrong, Scout? This does worry me."

Scout chuckled, and sighed.
"I... hear things. Smell smells I shouldn't smell, hear things I shouldn't hear... voices... voices that make no sense... calling each other out... talking about everyone here... talking..." She said, "The headaches were origionally caused by me, remembering stuff that shouldn't have happened, me back at base, fighting... but nowadays, it's mostly this... weird stuff."
