Katrina walked outside and taking out her Soul Shanks started practicing again. However, those that approached her would feel a darkened chill around Katrina, those it was focused around her left side, where the Black Soul Shank was.

"Yeah... Pity he's gone... He was nice... I think." Terra replied as she began rubbing her arms again. Death. She had seen it many times, but rarely had she expirienced the aftermath of it. She didn't know how to conduct herself on such a occasion. This added to the frustration she felt with her appearant inability to feel sorrow.

Jacques said, straightening up and resting his sword tip on the ground beside his foot. "No weapon of that size exists in my world, though the Scottish highlanders or the Teutonic knights did use very large blades such as te zweihander or claymore. Such blades have their advantages -I know this better than most- but those who use them often underestimate the speed with which a rapier can strike. And while it is not capable of easily delivering a killing blow to the only swordsmen that can equal me, it can leave a sting that can surprise them enough to open them up for a blow of full force to the neck."

After a few minutes, Flonne snapped right back up to sitting on her knees. "Oh, I'm fine. Just a little...tired is all." She answered the people around her still managing a small smile.

And underestimating the speed or strength of my blade would be unwise in itself. I am merely appreciating the elegance of your technique. I can respect the skill and discipline it takes to wield it like you do." Cloud explains.

Phoenix found a nice little clearing for herself as she laid down, crossing her arms around her chest and closed her eyes. Her face was slightly excited, but also scared as well.

Katrina watched Phoenix head off into the forest, followed by Jean. Fascinating... Ah well. she shrugged and walked over to Flonne. "Hello again." she smirked.

Zack jumped off the ship and walked over to Raven. "How unfortunate. I'm not sure what caused his death..."

Terra stared at the grave for a moment, unsure of what to do. "Is this how these things normally go?" she asked Raven.

"Wah!" Flonne fell back over onto her back when some strange Scotsman suddenly appeared in front of her. The Demopan had managed to shock her into a more alert and awake state though. "Hello!" She cheerily answered Katrina, not bothering to sit back up again and just looking up at her.

Jacques twitched slightly when Cloud said that he had survived several stabbings, but gave no other visible reaction.
"As have I. Among many more severe injuries." He said. "And as I said, I am sure that you must be able to wield the weapon faster than its size would suggest, else you would not have survived in battle. I grant you that I would be cautious when facing such a weapon, but I have faced a zweihander in the past, and triumphed. It is a matter of timing and persistance rather than precision and finesse as with a fellow fencer. Any weapon can be defeated by any other, for the most part. You must simply understand what you are doing, and of course, must have the competence to wield your weapon."
