Raven weakly stumbled into the area Phoenix and Etna were in. Still injured from his fall he weakly called out "Don't...don't do it... there's gotta be a better way..."

Terra giggled slightly when jean started purring. She quite enjoyed stroking the tail, it gave her a certain sense of calmness.

Some lowbrow who considders a alien to be his mother is considdered a god these days? ....Regardless, I created the sword that cleaves through gods. Your fluke of a science project pales in comparison to my brilliant work!

"Whaaaat?! I for one am hurt! Hurt and appalled that you would even think I would do something like that. Maybe I just shouldn't even bother helping you if you trust me so little." Etna replied indignantly. She looked over at Raven, still looking indignant. "What? I'm just offering to help her get stronger so she can't be pushed around anymore, so she can be her own person. Is there something wrong with that?"

"I don't like that. People's thoughts should be private." Flonne scolded Kale. "Experiments? That's...awful..." Flonne looked about ready to burst into tears again.

@Cloud: "Ooohhhoohohoh Big boy! I'm gonna have alot of fuunn with yooouuu..." Megan... "Look, I'm sorry, but @Salty's characters are really just large targets!" Phoenix looked confused at both Etna and Raven.

Katrina and Crystal both stared at lovingly as they embraced again.

Jean moved a little closer to Terra, her tail wriggling in her grasp.

"Well, I'm not gonna deny that. It's why we defeated them. I couldn't allow my fellow people to be used like that. My honor would not allow it."

OoC: @Nail "Pity. I was gonna give you a third arm and see how your body adapted to it. I suppose, I can try it with some other sap."
@Relius "My creation transcended death. Twice. And may well do so, again. Even in his weakest form, he was heads and tail above every other creature on the planet. Even his clones were potent. And he bent the world to his will. He transcended SCIENCE itself, I hate to admit. I fail to see how your junk science can even compare."

 

[Furioso]

Raven paused a little at Etna's words "Well... nothing is wrong with that but if she's gonna use that power to kill somebody than it ain't worth it!"

OoC: I'm sure the actual Raven would be better at arguing this, but oh well lets see where this goes xD

"Okay, fine. If it'll make you feel better, no contract." Etna said. She picked up the piece of paper and stuffed it in her pocket, along with the pen. "This is why I don't help people more often, they're always suspicious."
"Hey, I'm not deciding what she does with her power. She could already go up to that insensitive girl and kill her right now if she wanted, she doesn't need me for that." She said to Raven.

Flonne just started quietly sobbing to herself.

"Does your master ever... stroke you like this?" Terra asked after a while, still stroking Jean's tail.

My creation did not transcend death, for it never died. Truly it was the very paragon of scientific achievement.

The two continued their embrace and eventually fell asleep, but the darkness barrier still held its place.

Phoenix looked at the ground. Indifferent... All of them...

Phoenix got up and left the two alone. "...."

Zack stopped his squats and walked over to Flonne. "Hey, relax. It's okay."

@Relius "Last I checked, there was a whole religion on Earth that worshiped a man because he revived after he died."

Raven succumbed to his head wound and collapsed on the ground again. A faint glow could be seen through the tatters of his shirt

OoC: @Drak, huh, didn't expect Etna to give up on the contract so easily

"Oh no, no, no. Master dislikes physical contact, just like you actually." Jean said.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Great, now look what you did, you ass." Etna said to Raven as she got up and followed after Phoenix. Then she noticed Raven fall unconscious and start to glow. She started to feel conflicted, then decided to continue following after Phoenix. I can always try and rob him later.

"B-B-But it's so s-sad..." Flonne replied through her tears.

@Relius: & @Hojo: "By the Avatars... Shut the hell up!" "Indeed."

Phoenix wanders back to the ship as she spots Jean and Terra, and Zack and Flonne. A sullen dark mood hangs over her head.

"There are plenty of sad things. Trust me. You can't worry about those things too much. I remember them and respect them, but I try not to live my life on that." Zack replied.

 

[Chungus]

"Oh... Well... I kind of like this. It doesn't bother me."

OoC @Hojo: They what? Words fail me... Now, if you will excuse me, I have been kept from my glorious work for far too long.

 

[Drakmorg]

Etna realized it probably wouldn't engender any good will from the others towards her if she left an 'old man' alone and wounded in the woods, so she went back and picked up Raven, then headed back to camp. "Okay, what's up your butt?" Because you're starting to try my patience here. Etna said to Phoenix as she ran back up to her.

"I-I'm sorry...but s-sometimes I can't help b-but get like this..." Flonne said to Zack, wiping tears from her eyes.

"You all confuse me... I'm going to bed." Phoenix said in a cold monotone. She found her makeshift bed and laid on top of it, staring at the ceiling.
