"Then knock it back!" Jacques laughed and handed one of the bottles to Medic, before biting the cork out of the other and taking a swig before heading back out onto the beach. As he passed through the door he suddenly stopped and signalled for the others to do the same, his head cocked curiously. For a moment, only the crash of the surf was evident to him, but then his highly trained ear picked out a sound that wouldn't have been evident to the others; a kind of flapping, creaking sound, not too far away, yet subtle and idle. He grinned broadly in the darkness.
"When the sun rises, I will have to take a further walk." He said.
