Jacques didn't hear Scout as he was scrambling up the ratlines, but it wasn't long before he found her. Overreaching recklessly, his hand slipped on one of the ropes.
"MERDE!" He yelled as he lost his grip entirely and fell, over 25 feet right on his back on the wooden deck. The wind was knocked out of his lungs and he gasped involuntarily for several seconds. Seeing Scout standing over him, he struggled to a sitting position.
"What is it now?" He demanded, his voice slurred and a lot more sharp than he usually sounded when speaking to Scout. "Have more of them decided to do each other in just a little earlier?"

"I'm not asking you to be cheery. Be your doomy gloomy self, Huntress knows I can't stop that. If you're dead set on it, stay away from everyone. Can't stop you on that one either. I... Pauk, I'm too tired as it is, and we need to get funeral rites going for everyone who died anyway. You know where to find us." Long fang shifted off the tree and headed out of the forest, to the ship to begin the process of burying the fallen.

Flonne started to sob as she heard Raven come over and talk to her. "I-I-I...I think Miss Banks drowned at sea-he-he-he!" She said, bursting into tears as she didn't notice Katrina.

Phoenix looked shocked and in horror from what happened. For awhile she remained silent... Then she said. "I... I looked up to her, she's..." She slowly regained her composure. "If there's one thing that I learned here, is that there's always more chances. Jean, we will turn Terra around..." her voice boosting with slight confidence. "We... We just need to take our time with this though." she said again, this time in a low tone.
"I'm right here to ya know?" Katrina says as she nonchalantly sits down and sighs. "Uuhh.. Thanks for earlier... It would have... really nasty with that..." She nodded sadly at Raven.

Phoenix looked shocked and in horror from what happened. For awhile she remained silent... Then she said. "I... I looked up to her, she's..." She slowly regained her composure. "If there's one thing that I learned here, is that there's always more chances. Jean, we will turn Terra around..." her voice boosting with slight confidence. "We... We just need to take our time with this though." she said again, this time in a low tone.
"What is going on is that I have been dragging along with this miserable crowd in this miserable fucking world for how long now? Weeks. I even turned down the chance to return to a place and time that actually feels like home. And why? Because I cared about these people. I stayed out of some ridiculously misplaced loyalty. And now what happens? They turn on each other like hungry wolves." Jacques ranted from his prone position on the deck, looking up at Scout. "The truth is, I don't even know why I chose to show such loyalty! None of them swear fealty to God or to France, the only two constants in my life, and in fact denounce them openly, as you have done! And it is not as though they will be lifelong friends. Every one of you, you have lived for only a couple of decades. No time at all. And in a few more, you'll be dust. What's the point?"

Out to sea on Hojo's airship, he was looking over a monitor. "Excellent. I just have to wait for the proper readings..." He then walks over to the healing tank.
"Good her vitals are stabilized. I can't lose my most precious specimen, now. Isn't that right... Oh what is her name, again?" He looks down at some paper work. "Terra. A more fitting name, I couldn't give her."
OoC: And before anyone says anything, you're actually better off this way. The real deal is even more psychotic right now, after recent events.

OoC: @trty I kind of liked the movie, but it was kind of like being told Iron sky, a movie about Nazi's on the dark side of the moon, was later claimed to be indisputable fact and a permanent part of our history. Weird things that should have been mentioned in the books being brought up as if from nowhere, like the hunters planet and the berserkers.
