We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

EMily's lightning stunned Sundowner, holding him in place as Vicky kicked him away. He got up slowly but steadily, the robot's bullets a minor annoyance but still enough to make standing just that little bit harder.

Minuano defended himself with a parry before hitting Tavish in the face with the hilt of his blade to drive him off.

The Engineer's bullets glanced off something invisible, making it appear for a split second, before something decloaked above him. It was a chainsaw, seemingly hovering in midair. It came crashing down on his Sentry, cutting it in two, before going after him as well.

After sometime and a lot of swearing and some heavy lifting Dace went off into the sky.

Vicky scrambled around to face Sundowner and get back up on her feet. A low-pitched growling noise swelled up in her throat as she ran for her opponent while he was still getting up. She kicked off the ground and extended one foot forward, aiming her jumping kick at Sundowner's chest.

 

[Slenn]

Gwen created a crushing field around his chest to assure he couldn't move when Vicky would strike him as well as to damage him.

EMily shot another laser, this time at his other knee.

 

[Zepherus14]

Seeing the chainsaw appear out of no where, Sophia rubbed her eyes for a moment before confirming she wasn't seeing things. Sophia not having enough prepared to do what she wanted, she misspelled the glove, using the rest of the orb she'd been collecting as well as the mana used to form the glove to throw at the invisible chainsaw guy.

If successful the mana would stick to the hidden enemy and give away his position, giving off a small trail as the mana dissipated. Regardless Sophia was already generating more, the orb growing much quicker than the last.

The females of the group would be smelling chocolate by this point, although with the amount of gunpowder and other smells hanging in the air, they might not be able to notice.

Engineer was quick to react, grabbing his sentry before it was slashed in half, dropping it again and running around, shooting the default shotgun everywhere in a panic.[hr]Tavish stumbled from the attack, before plopping down a few stickies and jumping over to Engineer, Medic in tow as he healed him, medic firing a bunch of syringes in the cyborg's general direction.

Good armor. Let's see how many bullets that smug face can take.

Captured by Gwen's gravity field, Sundowner was defenceless against Vicky's kick, which knocked the wind out of him. The robot's bullets hit there mark on his head, tearing through the skin but bouncing off a metal place in his reinforced skull, and EMily's laser bored through the knee.

Minuano slashed the syringes to plastic shreds before they could hit him, running towards the group, jumping to avoid Samus' shots.

The chainsaw slashed at the sentry again as the thing that was holding it decloaked. It seemed, for all intents and purposes, like a robotic wolf with a tail that looked like a fibre optic cable holding the chainsaw. The robot put the chainsaw down on a holster on it's back, using it's tail to grab some small knives from holsters on its legs, throwing them at the Engineer and the Sentry's legs. They glowed with heat, capable of melting stone.

Tavish's sticky jump launched him directly at the chainsaw carrying robot, and he attempted another downward swing as he fell, aimed at the robot's tail.

Mara Triangle, Kenya - 13:43PM​

Making its way to a shack, loading a new round into its rifle as it went, the bug tried to open the door, but found it locked. Clacking its mandibles, the bug moved around to a window and stood on its hind legs, resting its front legs against the wall, then punching the window in, the shards of glass harmlessly sliding over its exoskeleton-covered hand. With the window broken, the bug climbed through, entering the shack. There, it found a jeep and a workbench at the end of the shack, opposite the door. Under the shack, there were several jerricans, and two half full ones sat on top of the bench. Pleased to have found what it was looking for, the bug approached the bench and picked one jerrican up with its free hand, then picked up three more with its tail, moving it through the handle and curling the tip towards its back so they wouldn't slide off.

Having gotten what it needed, the bug left the shed through the window again, and climbed back out of the window. Sticking onto the wall of the shack, and crawled towards the roof. Poking its head over it to look if anyone was looking outside, and climbed onto the roof when it found this wasn't the case. From there, it jumped up and flew towards the U-shaped building, flying with a bit of difficulty due to the extra weight, but still managing to keep itself airborne. Landing on the roof of the U-shape building, the bug laid its rifle and the jerrican it carried in its hand down, as well as letting the cans that hung from its tail slide off.

After unscrewing the lids from the cans, the bug picked one and flew up again. In the air, the bug began hosing the building's walls down with gasoline, needing to stay moving as it did this, since it couldn't stay in one place when flying. When one jerrican was emptied, the bug moved on to the next and continuing what it was doing, while always being weary of the possibility of someone moving infront of a window.

When done, flew back towards into the foliage, to the tree it had put the first ranger it killed in. Landing on the branch, the bug rummaged through the ranger's pocket until it found a zippo lighter. Jumping out of the tree and gliding down, the bug pucked up a sizable branch, and tied the lighter to it with webbing. When done, it flew back to the U-shaped building's roof and picked up its rifle, then opened the lighter spun the flint wheel to ignite the flame. Flying up, the bug held the branch on the far end, and moved the flame of the lighter to a gasoline-covered wall, igniting the building.

With this done, the bug dropped the branch and flew back into the foliage once more, touching down on the branch it had secured its bag on. From this position, the bug took aim through and watched the flames engulf the building, waited to shoot anyone who had a mind to escape from the it.

Sophia watched the robo dog for a short bit before hearing the several needles fling off of Minuano's sword. She looked behind her shoulder to see that he was quickly approaching. "Guys! The other guy is coming!!" Sophia shouted, rather concerned as it seemed like Minuano wasn't really being watched other than Samus and Medic were keeping him busy, with the speed this guy had, making everyone aware to watch their backs might be a good idea.

Still very much alarmed by his speed, she prepped herself in case things went south. The orb now being around the size of a basketball, she took a small chuck of it, and formed what appeared to be another lightning attack, although arguably smaller. What was odd however is she then swiftly aimed it at the ground and fired. It would appear she'd stunned herself for some reason, if a misfire or what have you, tiny brown tinted sparks coming from Sophia's body.[footnote]Looking similar to sparks you'd see if you took off a fluffy housecoat while wearing warm pajamas.[/footnote]

Vicky attempted to seize the opening she had been giving, starting by jumping onto Sundowner's chest. If her opponent proved to still be stunned, she would jab her left arm towards his neck, intending to pierce into it with her claws.

Gwen's sense of mass and Sophia's alert, made her turn towards the robot dog.

EMily also turned to see the dog from her sense of metals and EM fields. EMily charged up her right fist and delivered a powerful EMP at the dog like a shotgun.

Gwen used a torrential gravitational field to fire the knives back at the dog.

Th entry beeped as it was almost destroyed, leaving a singular minigun attached to the sentry, as Engineer pulled out his wrench and got to work repairing it, he quickly fell down in agony as the flaming knives pirced it's and the sentry's base, the sentry falling over onto the ground. Medic quickly landed next to Engineer, and healed him with the quick-fix rapidly, where he bolted up and began to repair his sentry, which didn't take as long as one might think.

Sundowner had managed to recover from the stun by that time, and when Victoria jumped on his chest, he responded with a punch to her ribs that would likely shatter the bone, trying to knock her back into the air.

Minuano landed, Samus still firing at him. She landed a few hits before he sheathed his sword and dashed towards her. When he was in range, he pressed a trigger on his sheath, and his sword literally shot out of the holster and into his hand, sounding like a 50 cal sniper rifle to all nearby. With the added speed and power of the shot, he sliced upward, cutting off Samus' lower right arm. She screamed in pain, the arm cannon falling to the ground before disappearing in a flash, leaving only the arm, lying on the ground with its fingers still twitching. She fell on one knee, warning lights and sirens in her HUD as she tried to cover the wound, grunting and trying not to scream again. Minuano jumped high into the air again, coming down on the Medic, aiming for his medigun with a downward stab.

The wolf bot slashed again, but EMily's EMP messed with its aim, and a slash that had been intended for the Engineers head instead went for his robotic arm. Tavish would find his slice did not cut the cord apart, but it did leave a noticeable slash that threw off a few sparks. The few knives that were left flew towards the wolf's legs, one pinning its foot.

If EMily was feeling around for electronics, she would likely feel three very powerful sources coming around the corner of the street.

 

[Slenn]

"Gwen, go ahead into your QFT form!" She advised. Gwen nodded. "There's three more sources of electronics approaching! Could be more of these robot dogs!" She announced to everyone. At this point at her maximum available energy, her sensory of electromagnetic fields was pretty sharp.

Gwen shot her energy into her heart, her eyes shining like bright purple clouds of gas and her whole body had an ultramarine glow. This was her graviton form. Motion of any object that has mass, even a system of molecules like a gas, was easily observed. Quantum mechanical data regarding the gravitational fields around her was also at her dispense.

EMily fired an industrial laser from her hand at the dog's pinned leg, attempting to sever it.

You continue to scan the city, trying to find any nests of enemy activity.

Gwen would notice three heavy masses moving near the street corner. Two were humanoid, one organic with mechanical limbs and a large metal neckbrace. The other was purely mechanical from the neck down. The third mass was a large, squat minimech with the top half of a person's skull inside.

Shara would find a huge mechanical mas, the size of a building, moving around the city.
