We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

[Chungus]

Finding the scent trail heading into the university building, the bug clacked its mandibles in annoyance, knowing it wouldn't be able to follow without being spotted. Not having any better leads, the bug laid down its bag, and began digging, using both its hands and forelegs. Being a quick digger, it only took just under a minute until it had a hole large enough for it to crawl in.

Picking up its bag with its tail, the bug entered the tunnel and continued digging deeper, moving closer towards the university building as it went, until after a while, it began making the end of tunnel wider. When it had a made a wide enough space for it to comfortably move in, the bug laid down its bag again and moved back towards the entrance, sealing it up a little so the hole wasn't as obvious, but not sealing it off entirely. Moving back to the main chamber, the bug dug a tunnel upwards, making a small hole to the surface for it to pick up scents through, then laid down. It would bide its time for now, waiting for the people it heard talking to exit the building again.

Engineer looked at Roland, "Ah can. Or try." He said, exiting the ship with the improved eyelander. [Hr]The sectoid said, "alone. Her."

 

[Slenn]

"We're aiming to find these cowards as well. So as long as you don't trip up Vicky, you should be fine." She lowered her voice. "She tends to have a volatile temperament from time to time."

 

[Demonjazz]

Dace had overheard the conversation with the blue streaky man. "More people! Dear God! We need to stock up on food! I only have ten meals in the cargo bay at best!"

Samus looked the man over, noting his prosthetic left arm.

OoC: She's in the Zero Suit right now, I feel I should mention.

 

[Slenn]

"Don't worry, we can find ourselves a market to buy food. We have enough cash to do so." She replied to Dace.

[color=003366]"Right. Who's Vicky?"[/color] the guy asked, looking around. [color=003366]"I'm like that, too."[/color] Hearing Dace, blue-streak guy looked over at him. [color=003366]"I have some food on me."[/color] he said, opening up his bag to reveal a bunch of sandwiches wrapped in cling film, two two-liter bottles of water and four two-liter bottles of nothing.

[color= gray]"Food isn't likely to cheap in a war zone." Food's likely to be scarce. Rationing and profiteering trend to follow wars. Makes me glad I don't eat.[/color]

"[small]So she isn't here anymore...[/small]" She said, looking back over to where the new man had come. 'There are a lot of people missing limbs...' She thought absentmindedly when she saw him.

"Still. I really don't want more people here since it's cramped to begin with. It's more cramped den a can o sardines in a sardine warehouse... In a sardine factory."

 

[Drakmorg]

Vicky saw everyone congregating close by, so she walked over herself.

"So I found some tracks we can follow. These guys are either arrogant or stupid, probably both, so they left plenty behind for us to hunt them with."

 

[Slenn]

"She's the taller cat-woman. Dark hair, and she seems to be cybernetic like you. I noticed you had a prosthetic arm."

OOC: Gonna cook dinner in a second.

[color=003366]"I wouldn't say it's cybernetic. That suggests, y'know, computer bits and fancy electronics. That's sci-fi shit where I'm from."[/color] the guy said, tapping his arm. [color=003366]"This is nuts and bolts and motors and all that."[/color] As he spoke, his gaze settled on Victoria.

"Yup. You guys sure don't have lots of technology. It's pretty pathetic."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus looked at Vicky. "Good." There was a hint of fury in her otherwise level voice.

 

[Slenn]

"Ah I gotcha. In my time a cyborg is anyone who has any machine to replace a body part. By the way, my name is EMily."

They both nodded and bowed.
"Nice to meet you, what's your name?"

Tavish took the upgraded Eyelander from engy and looked at it quizically. "Whaddid ya do with it?"

Roland pulled a waterlogged bullet out of his bag and tossed it at the engineer. He would see that it was a standard .45 bullet. "[color=01A9DB]Make them like this one. I will see to it that you are paid after you are done. If the bullets work.[/color]"

Roland gave the blue haired guy a look that seemed to say "don't cause trouble" before he approached EMily and Dace. "[color=01A9DB]If these sigh-boards are attacking people, then this is not the time to talk about food. We do what preparations we need to and then we attack, before they make the first strike.[/color]"

[color=003399]"Oh. Well, fair enough. I'm Joel."[/color] blue-streak guy said.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Yeah my implants aren't cyber-whatever-ya-called-it either."

Vicky chimed in.

"Wait, when did we get a purple Blue?"

She asked, only now truly noticing Gwen's presence. She nodded in agreement with Roland and added,

"I'm ready to go right now."
