"[color=01A9DB]Gunslingers are the highest authority. The guns are a symbol. Once a Gunslinger earns his guns, he is free to pursue whatever quest he chooses. Fighting is not all we do.[/color]" Roland explained. "[color=01A9DB]It is a discipline, a code. I respect that you would not choose such a path. It is not dishonorable to resign from training, even days before one would face his final test.[/color]"

He smiled when Sophia suggested that shooting would be difficult. He held up his right hand to Sophia so that she could see that he was missing his index and middle finger. "[color=01A9DB]All that is hard for me is getting familiar with using one gun at a time.[/color]"

"Maybe I shouldn't ask." I say to Sophia.

"Really?" Sophia's mouth opened slightly like she was about to say something else, but hesitated, simply considering what Roland had said. "I'm glad you're not mad then." Sophia sounding relieved, the way Roland described gunslinging made it much more appealing than Sophia would have ever thought of it.

Looking to see what Victoria was suggesting to her, she adjusted her to negate some glare from the lights as she realized what Victoria was holding. "What?! It's so big though!" She protested though, her statement a bit moot as she still held onto the rocket launcher.

"One gun at a-" Sophia asked as she looked back to Roland, seeing that he'd produced the hand with missing fingers, Sophia wincing slightly and clenching her right hand in response. "H-how... did that happen? If I'm allowed to ask that is."

"[color=01A9DB]Lobsters.[/color]" Roland answered Sophia, a completely serious look on his face.

 

[Wackymon]

"Correction-" engineer said while continuing his work, "Magic lobsters."

 

[Slenn]

"Can't she start with a handgun of some sort? Like a pistol or a revolver?" EMily said, still waiting patiently for Engineer to finish his work.

<color=purple>"Actually a revolver wouldn't be a good idea for a beginner. That kickback and whatnot from firing."

 

[Wackymon]

Engineer finished upgrading his sentry, and plopped down another toolbox, and had it slowly automatically build the transcoder while we walked over to Sophia.
"Ya need a gun? I might be able to help a bit with that," he said, poking through his pockets and pulling out a pistol with what appears to be Tron lines.
"Now this here's a weaker version of Samus's plasma cannon, it ain't got much kick, but it'll fire as fast as you can pull the trigger." he said, "You can grab more ammo for it from any of my dispensers."

 

[Zepherus14]

"A lob-ster..." Sophia replied, looking and sounding like the name meant nothing to her up front. "[small]Lob...ster...[/small]" She repeated.

"I apologize but I really have no idea what that is." She stated sympathetically, knowing whatever such a thing was, it must have been pretty mean.

Sophia tried to juggle holding the launcher as well as the new pistol. "T-thanks." She replied as she slowly looked over the strange gun. 'What have I gotten myself into...'[

"[color=01A9DB]We should move.[/color]"Roland said as he finished his cigarette, and stood up as he tossed it to the ground and put it out with his boot.

EMily would hear radio chatter from a checkpoint just down the road requesting reinforcements.

Engineer and Medic nodded, following behind, Medic overhealing Demoman, Engineer carrying his new sentry.

[color= gray]"Forward depends on which way you're facing, but fine."[/color]

"[color=01A9DB]The direction that this sigh-board came from would be a good start.[/color]"

[color= gray]"Cyborgs. Sai-borgs." That mispronunciation was getting in my nerves.[/color]

Vicky shrugged when Sophia rejected her idea and slung the rifle over her shoulder. She rejoined the others after pilfering as much ammunition from the cyborgs that she could fit in the pockets of her vest. Her stride was slightly slower as a result of the additional weight she was now carrying, but it quickly returned to normal as her legs and back began compensating. How the hell do humans put up with carrying around all this crap just to shoot each other?...

Eternity of nothing, you are utterly alone with your thoughts. They can consume you.  Invariably, they turn to those whose fates you decided, did you choose well? No answer is to be found, you must occupy your mind before it destroys you. You begin to  search to find the one to whom the broken promise was made, begin to mend it. So many others, despair is close at hand, but you continue your hopeless distraction.

EMily and Gwen moved forward as well, keeping up their senses of metals and masses.

Engineer continued to follow, carrying his Sentry Gun along.
Medic began to overheal EMily.
The Sectoid began to search ahead for anyone he could make snap and go on a homicidal rampage.
