Samus was blown back by the explosion, though her Varia Suit easily withstood the heat.

The Bladewolf was not so lucky. Between the damage already inflicted, the weak point in the armour, and the fire it was taking from the Engineer and the Sectoid, it could not dodge the explosion and was thrown against a pillar with enough for to crack the stone, one of its legs taking the brunt of the force and nearly being crushed. It fell to the ground, alive but crippled and smouldering.

OoC: Fight over. Might want to hold off on that killing blow though.

After missing Jona with quite a bit of sand, the bug eventually extinguished the flames.

Joel walked over to Bladewolf, slowly starting to cool down. [color=003399]"Could you do us all a favour and tell your bosses to just fucking give up and jump off a damn cliff or something?"[/color]

 

[Chungus]

Seeing it had doused the flames licking away at Jona, the bug raised its tail at him, and stuck him with its stinger, injecting him with a neurotoxin that would cause severe pain, sweating, tearing, drowsiness, drooping eyelids, loss of muscle coordination, and respitory failure in that order. It didn't inject Jona with a lot of venom, however, finding it wouldn't need much, since his mark was already on death's door, the venom only being used to move him along.

When done, the bug began dragging Jona away, back to where it had left its bag. With the added weight, and the bug wanting to avoid being seen dragging someone that would soon be a corpse, it would take a few moments, but it made it to its location eventually. Climbing the wall to the roof, the bug took notice of the noise coming from its bag, slightly alarmed by it. Its first thoughts were that the phone was ringing, but then it realised it had turned the phone off, and the ringtone didn't match, even if it hadn't.

Approaching the bag carefully, the bug glanced into it to try and see what was making the noise.

EMily activated Photon form anyway. Both of the sisters stood by.

 

[Wackymon]

Engineer walked up to the robot, and said to it, "Ya want anything from me?"

As the majority of the flames burned up, there would still be some that lingered. Sophia was breathing fairly deeply, looking around her to make sure it was safe to drop the shield. 'Why did that happen?!' She thought, the event happening so quickly she'd mostly gone on the reaction of seeing the napalm hit the cyborg.

The cyborg however was pretty charred by this point, the body still burning despite how much it had already been burned. The voracity of the fire similar to a magnesium fire in the sense it didn't seem to want to go out until it burned itself out.

"S-Samus are you ok!?" Sophia eventually called out to the thrown comrade.

Spoiler: Retcon'd Out

Finally putting down the shield, Sophia turned to see Medic. Sophia a bit absent minded given what had just happened seconds prior didn't know what to say. "He... he's dead..." She bit her lip. "Even if my magic wasn't able to heal him fully, it would have done something, it would have been used up. But..." She paused. "At that point, not even a master healer could help him..." She whimpered slightly, looking a bit angry that Tavish died as stupid as he had.

The bug would see the bounty poster was vibrating, and the back of it had turned into a map.

"I... I am fine." Samus said slowly, standing tall and covering her face with her gauntlet. Her helmet had apparently gone flying off in the explosion.

[color=grey]"I cannot incite violence against my superiors."[/color]

Bladewolf said to Joel, then looked at Engi.

[color=grey]"Doubtful."[/color]

[color=003399]"Not telling them to give up would be inciting violence, in the form of my fist up their fucking assholes."[/color] Joel pointed out, moving his right arm in a thrusting motion to get his point across.

 

[Wackymon]

Engineer stared at the robot dog, "Well, you don't know me then. Tell me, do ya want to work for them? Do ya have a mind of ya own?"

 

[Zepherus14]

"Fine, your helmet's gone!" Sophia protested.

(The explosion was a bit more fireball than shockwave actually, but that's fine to keep the helmet off for now Gear.)

 

[Chungus]

Picking up the bounty poster out of the bag, the bug poked it with the barrel of its rifle, looking at it while cocking its head from side to side. After a moment, the bug turned the poster around, seeing the bag had turned into a map. It was confused about this, wondering how it could have happened, and if it would be a good idea to follow the map. It decided to think on that later, however.

Putting its rifle and map back into in the bag, the bug took the phone out instead, and turned it on. Picking up the bag in its free hand, the bug began browsing through the phone menus while it climbed down the wall back to the ground. Touching down, the bug stood over Jona's corpse, opened the eyes, then held the phone's camera over it and taking a photo. With this done, the bug turned the phone off again and put it back into the bag, then removed what items Jona might be carrying on his person, putting anything it deemed useful in its back, before his corpse. When this was done, the bug licked up what blood had stained the sand, then moved out of the town and dug a tunnel. Crawling inside, the bug cocooned itself and rested.

June 6th. Beyla, Guinea - 00:14 AM​

After twelve minutes had passed, the bug ate its cocoon, the assimilation complete, the bug now had access to all of Jona's abilities, as well as the memories it assimilated automatically upon consuming him, giving the bug the knowledge to make use of the power.

It had thought on what to do with the map as it rested inside its cocoon, and came to the conclusion it was probably the work of the bounty store, but it couldn't hurt to check out where the map would lead even if it wasn't.

Picking up its bag and crawling out of the tunnel, the bug turned around and regurgetated Jona's and the victim that came before him their clothing, and bits of sand it had ingested while licking up blood. With this done, the bug collapsed the tunnel, then took flight, following the route it saw on the map.

Bladewolf replied to Joel in the closest tone the mechanical voice could get to dry sarcasm. He turned his head to face Engi.

[color=grey]"I do not, but I must. There is a remote piloting, tracking and lockdown programme built into my neural matrix. If I disobey, I will be captured and erased."[/color]

Samus took the gauntlet off her face, revealing a large,nasty burn on one side of it, going from the jawline to just below the eye. "I am fine. I can still see." She looked around for her helmet.

 

[Wackymon]

"If you want," he said, "I could get it out of your head."

 

[Slenn]

"I can help search for your helmet." EMily said, keeping an eye out for electronic signals. Good lord, these encounters have gotten to the heart of Sophia. I hope she makes it out of this okay.

 

[Outisakanobody]

And the dog runs away again. Wonder why we keep letting him go. I allow my little arms to reload, then put my guns away and stand silently.

 

[Zepherus14]

Sophia still having her glasses on through all this saw what had happened to Samus' face. She looked mortified by the sight of Samus being obviously burned by her magic, even if she hadn't meant for that to happen at all. All she'd expected was the cyborg to have been knocked back like he'd been hit by a large rock, nothing more nothing less. She tried to say something to apologize to Samus, but she couldn't spit it out.

 

[Wackymon]

Medic looked over to Sophia, "How is it going vit Tavish?" he cried, as he looked at Samus, and seeing the scar even from a sizable distance away from the chocolate fire.
"Vhell. Zhat looks bad. Vould you mind coming over here?" he asked.

It wouldn't take too long for the bug to reach the point marked on the map, which it would see was a bounty shop.

[color=003399]"Well, you only have yourself to blame when your bosses are all charred husks."[/color] Joel said as he walked over to his discarded clothes and bag.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing the bounty shop in the distance below, the bug tilted its feathered wings upwards to break, and tilted its body downwards, begining to descend while occasionally lightly flapping its wings to not drop from the sky like a brick. Touching down on the ground a few paces away from the bounty shop, the bug looked the outside over for a moment, then walked inside.
