"Exactly, so don't worry about it, the sedative was used for what it needed to be used for, just like my mana, so don't tell me otherwise." Sophia smiled a little. "So Hans was it, I don't think I've ever seen you before. I would have remembered, so did you just arrive here?"

 

[Chungus]

"Where you may have been conditioned to attempt to resolve conflict through words, others may have been conditioned to do so through force. Impartiality is true for myself. Our background and experiences therein is what shapes us, and it can be difficult to break that mold." Yeul began to reply, taking a few steps to the side, ever-so-slightly swaying with her arms while she did. "In such cases, one merely telling a person would not be enough to sway them, they would need to see for themselves. Attempt to do so in the future. Results would tell who is right in the matter."

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"I suppose... no I know that would be the right thing to do."
"Although we've successfully demonstrated diplomacy before in front of Vicky with a group of mermen a few weeks back."
<color=green>"Well then, we'll just keep trying. And besides, they've only seen me work my butt off in the kitchen. They hardly know what I'm capable of out there."

"Yeah. I'm starting to think that I shouldn't be here." Alain said while looking down at the floor, trying to avoid Caius' gaze.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"I arrived here, from what I could tell, at the very start. Unfortunately, I was... occupied for some time."

Henry entered the room with Sophia and Hans, who grew quiet and reserved with Henry there. Henry had a greatcoat, gas mask and long pants in his hands, which he placed in front of Hans. He then left, without saying a word. Hans began slowly slipping on his pants, carefully moving around his leg.

 

[Chungus]

"One count of diplomacy prevailing against how many of force accomplishing the same?" Yeul questioned, looking to EMily. "I know the latter has been used at least once."

"If you feel that way." Caius responded, lowering his head and shrugging slightly. "The majority here seem to be a warrior or soldier in some capacity. If you are neither, it is a fair conclusion." he stated.

 

[Zepherus14]

"OH! You were here back in Japan?!" Sophia asked, a bit surprised to hear the answer. "Well you're back here now, so that's good." She added, turning around to look at the doorway as Henry entered, put the things down, and walked off. "Was... that a friend of-" She stopped as she noticed he was trying to put the pants on. "Wait, let me help you with that." She suggested as she assisted in guiding the pant leg over the splints.

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"In order to ultimately end an entire conflict? Desperado was defeated by force. Mermen were handled through diplomacy."

"Those men in Desperado where far below any sort of discussion or sanity for that matter. All of them pretty much wanted to take over the world with war as a business. And while plenty of us talked with them to get an understanding of what they wanted, none of them were willing to give up their war machines."

Alain paused for a few seconds, then let out a small chuckle and looked up at Caius. "I came here expecting to take on an army by myself, you know." He said, smiling weakly. "Trying to help people by other means just backfired on me, so I thought I would just become some 'great warrior' overnight in another world and actually make a difference. I'm so goddamn stupid!"

 

[Chungus]

"So viewing the conflicts as a whole, the results of the method used are tied. I see." Yeul responded, then briefly tilting her head by a small margain, blinking more pronouncedly during this time. "Perhaps this will be decided in the future. Although I would hope to avoid conflict all together."

"If that was your intention, then yes. It was foolish." Caius responded bluntly, crossing his arms and leaning lightly against the wall. "Few changes happen overnight, certainly not one so signifficant as you desired. Wherther you want to become a warrior, leave your mark upon the world or what ever else, there is no easy path. At the very best, you can hope for a path of least resistance."

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"Thank you for talking with me, Yuel. I really appreciate it." She smiled, rubbing her eyes. <color=green>"I think I'm going to go outside now to take a breather."

"I'll go with you, just to enjoy the weather."

<color=purple>"You're welcome to join us if you wish. And thank you again." Gwen nodded. The sisters got up to exit the ship.

 

[Knife-28]

Knife sat at the entrance of the ship, looking out at the smaller one parked close by in the rain. The soft pitter patter was drowned out by wingbeats, and moments later Doug dropped down and landed next to the ship.

"Man, what happened to you?" Doug asked, his eyes picking out the black eye that was forming up nicely on Knife's face.

"Me and Doom Guy had a..." Knife paused as he searched for the right words, "Difference of opinion."

 

[FPSfanatic]

Hans, if anything, blushed more intensely at the assistance. with his pants on, he reached to his greatcoat, and pulled it on himself. "That thing is a Xenos, and I refuse to work with him. he may help this team, but I will not support him. it is against my beliefs, if nothing else."

 

[Chungus]

"Your welcome. But I must decline." Yeul responded, shaking her head lightly. "Caius and I still have more people to interview. Good bye." After bowing her head as she Masons made their way to the exit of the ship, Yeul moved to Caius' side.

"I made my choice to come here and I'm not giving up, but what am I supposed to do?!" Alain shouted, but it seemed to be directed more at himself than Caius. "I could barely handle being near a fight and I couldn't even heal a broken leg!"

 

[Slenn]

As the girls exited the pod they found Doug and Knife.
"Question, Mr. Knife, if you don't mind? Where did you find Doug exactly?"
Winona despite still a little tense, managed a chuckle at the mention of the name "Doug".

 

[Zepherus14]

Sophia looked up at Hans, seeing the red on his face and realizing what was going on, quickly taking her hands off of the end of the pant leg. "O-Oh sorry, I just didn't want you to get it caught on anything." She apologized, blushing a little herself.

"Alright... question?" Sophia raised her hand like she was in a classroom. "What's a Xenos?"

 

[Chungus]

"Practice in whatever field you wish to advance in." Caius responded curtly, his face retaining a stoic expression as Alain shouted, his voice not displaying much emotion, either. "You cannot expect to be capable while having no experience. That is my advice." He added, then began to walk off upon seeing Yeul had finished her conversation with the Masons.

Yeul winced slightly at Alain's shouting, more because she wasn't expecting it then anything else. When Caius walked off, Yeul followed, bowing her head to Alain as she passed him.

 

[FPSfanatic]

Hans dug into a greatcoat pocket, pulling out an imperial primer. "A Xenos is an alien, an outsider of humanity that hunts and attacks us. He killed an entire base of soldiers, not even knowing I was there. He terrifies me, and I do not wish to draw his ire, but I do not plan to draw his attention as well." he explained, waving the primer to emphasize what was said.

Alain watched Caius walk off, then sat down at a table in the kitchen and put both hands to his head as he stared silently at the wall. After a few minutes, if he was not interrupted, he would pull a stone out of his pocket and begin idly looking it over.
