"What in the blazes is this substance?" She muttered, looking at some of the sludge. "I don't know if it might actually be blood."

EMily gave Seras a good smile and her uncut hand.
"Hang in there. It's over."

"After we've bound her wounds we need to search the light fixture for clues as to where the victims may have gone."

"And so we hear each other at last, Serene.... Hold on I'm going to try different EM wavelengths to see if I can get a better image of you. You're not so clear in visible light."
She went through the whole spectrum: radio, microwaves, infrared, visible, ultraviolet, x-rays, and finally gamma rays.

As EMily gave Seras her hand Seras used to bring EMily's arm closer to her mouth. She then tried to bite into the arm and suck the blood therein.

"...So she's a vampire then. How about that." Yorick said as he watched this.

EMily would see a much better image of Serene as she hovered about, Serene at the time was laying down while in mid air. [color=48CCCD]"Indeed we do, thanks for helping with that EMily, nice to meet you"[/color] Serene would give a sly smile as her left eye would spin slowly. [color=48CCCD]"I would offer you a handshake or High 5 but..."[/color] Serene suddenly moved thru the wall and back again. [color=48CCCD]"Kinda don't have physical contact just yet"[/color]

 

[Slenn]

"Well, it looks like you're harder to see on some wavelengths. You're one of the few ghosts I've ever seen. Nice to meet you!"

EMily retracted her hand from the grip, a little bit freaked out from just noticing it being drawn closer to some fangs.

"Yeah! How 'bout that!" She said. "Sorry, Seras. But this blood's not for sale. This blood would seal outside of my own blood stream. It would prove disastrous inside anyone else's."

Seras barely seemed to register what EMily said as she lost her grip on her lifeline, aka EMily's blood rich arm. She let her head fall back onto the ground as her eyes seemed to lose focus and turn glassy.

"Well then. Looks like she's a goner." Yorick said while standing over the two.

[color=48CCCD]"Oh really? I suppose it's rather a good thing you don't see dead people to often though"[/color] Serene replied. [color=48CCCD]"If it wasn't for this groups skill in fighting my communication would still be that of a six year old's handwriting"[/color] Serene then hover up right, and gave a small bow. [color=48CCCD]"You have helped me, if I can do the same let me know okay?"[/color] she asked EMily with a wink.

 

[Slenn]

She started to panic a little.
"Damnit! I can't give her my blood, it would only kill her faster. We have to find a blood bank somewhere. Can we give her one of the merman's corpses to feed on?"

"Well, Serene. Is there anything you could do to help save her?"

EMily may notice that water was coming out of the mermen's corpses rather than blood.

"It seemed like those things bled water." Yorick said.

Seras didn't look like she'd hold on much longer. Considering who was around, EMily would realize there were only two options in the immidiate area. And Samus seemed to be busy zoning out at the moment...

Serene hovered down over Seras and sighed. [color=48CCCD]"Afraid not, unless she can restore of a fallen soul like me..."[/color] Serene replied to EMily.

She took a deep breath.
"You know what. It's risky... but I'm willing to try. I don't know what the effects will be on a vampire. But I'm willing to try. I won't let her bite me, but I will try to shed some blood for her before it coagulates. If this doesn't work, Seras.... please forgive me. My blood is quite special."

She took a broken piece of glass, and cut in between her index and middle finger of her right hand, holding the wound open to prevent it from sealing. She held it just above Seras' mouth and let it drop in at a steady rate.
"Please secure her head, I don't want her biting me." She held on to her pain receptors. EMily wasn't in critical danger, but her friend was, and that's what mattered to her most. "Please, I pray that my blood is forgiving."

"Alright then. You could have just asked for a knife though." Yorick said as he did so. Yorick was rather surprised EMily didn't suggest they use his blood.

The blood seemed to have the desired effect. At least, Seras didn't look any more dead that she had a moment ago.

 

[Slenn]

"It's quite alright. I have a thing about sharp knives. Not that I have a fear of them, it's just... I'm uncomfortable around them sometimes." She paused as more blood slowly poured into Seras' mouth. "The coagulation is supposed to prevent genetic theft from others. But fortunately, a vampire isn't a genetic thief. And even when the blood is inside Seras, the genetic code that describes my powers will disintegrate. It's a precaution in case the blood does not seal instantly. In Seras' case, it might be an effect that blood is absorbed instantly into the blood stream. It's only a hypothesis after all."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Seems to be working fine. And I'll try to remember about the knife thing." Yorick said.

Seras's stomach seemed to regrow under the bandages slowly and she started moving a bit more.

OOC: I did post in the chatgroup, but it might be useless.

 

[Slenn]

"Hey look at that. It's working. Yorick, do you want to donate? I probably should have asked that in the first place, but I was in panic."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Ehhh...I don't really like seeing my own blood, and she seems pretty fine now, so ya know..." Yorick said as he moved away from Seras and EMily.

 

[Slenn]

"Can you speak Seras?"

 

[Outisakanobody]

"[sub]Ughhhh...[/sub]" Seras softly groaned.

"I'll just go...keep looking for...stuff." Yorick said as he went up the stairs to the top floor.

 

[Slenn]

She continued to let her blood.
"Seras, please let me know when you're ready to recover on your own."
