"One of our group was accused of some crimes by a band of zealous crusaders, and had a bounty placed on her and the rest of our group for protecting her. We came here because the organisation that runs this place, XCOM, were willing to hold a trial. We already know the charges are false, so this is just a formality to get the bounty taken off. "

Ah yes, Strange jobs. I got many of those. They always start out small of course. Werewolf coming for me to investigate a robbery at a shop... By the end of it, I uncovered that the robber was a worshiper of an outer god who needed to be summoned with butterscotch candies

Ah yes, My poor young and naive self. Thought the life of a Private eye was glamorous. You went around shooting down the bad guys and helping everyone. If only I knew about all the horrors I would see, Almost went mad seeing an outer god once. Already did go mad seeing the most base and debauched of society. No wonder everyone does hard drugs in the city. It's a temporary release of society. Release from the homicides, the rapes, the suicides. The police acting like ravenous packs of wolves and preying on the innocent lambs of the town just for having pot they planted on them.

Yeah, back in some of my younger days, I used to be called Dick Tracy by some of my friends cause of the way I dressed. I used too have more friends. Life of a private detective is a lonely one. Perhaps that's why I fall for so many of the dames, I knew were trouble to begin with. A need for companionship, never does end well though. I'm a black cat of the world. Any one who walks past me ends up with bad luck. I took a swig of my whiskey again

Ah yes, detectives. I did know a couple who were good. Daverson Gordon. A good contact I had, he could always get the low down on everyone, had all that data on the police computer. Had to go in hiding now cause some of the higher up found out about him helping me. Haven't heard from him in months though... The maid was sitting in each others laps... That was real cute. The ladies weren't half bad looking either

Vicky decided to stay and wait until Sophia woke up, assuming the reason for the others not visiting her was needing to rest due to having been in an exhausting battle, rather than just not giving enough of a shit to see if she was alright.
