Climbing down from the tree, the bug moved to what it considdered the prime spot on its hunting grounds, which by now encompassed a fairly large area, eating vegitation along the way. After a few moments of moving along, the bug raised its head as it picked up an unfamiliar scent. Softly clacking its mandibles twice, and masked its scent to match the surrounding plants, then began following the scent.
Moving in a prowl, as it got closer, the bug began hearing soft snorting noises. It stopped for a moment, raising its head to the point where it was just barely covered by the low foliage, and listened to the noise and occasionally sniffed the air. Once it found that the source of the noise came from the same direction as the source of the scent, the bug moved on, moving slowly towards it. A few moments of stalking, and its prey came within sight; an aardvark, moving about with its long snout pointed towards the ground as it forraged for insects to eat.
Looking the aardvark over for a moment, the bug thought on wherther it could take the aardvark down, it being a fair amount larger then the bug was in both height and length, and considdering the bulk of the animal, probably had a weight advantage over it as well.
Seeing the aardvark wasn't in a hurry to leave, the bug took its time to look it over, looking for natural weapons, not terribly keen on the idea of being wounded away like its encounter with the wild dogs.
OoC: That's it for me for today.
