"Uh...I work for...a private security company..." Seras said as she started looking around the place they were in.
After finishing their rampage, the mermen began turning on taps and plugging up drains to slowly fill the building with water. One of them, however, closed blinds and curtains to stop anyone seeing into the building.
After this was complete, people nearby would see a bright flashing light inside one of the rooms. Three short flashes, three long ones, then another three short flashes, on repeat.

"I suppose I could tune into the local radio and see what I can hear. Perhaps there have been a sighting of our enemy." She used her sense of EM waves and materialized Photon. Her eyes glowed a dim blue as she focused. It then displayed a complete series of radio stations both secure and public. She searched through each of them, having Photon translate any of the non-english language, for anything that might be of interest.
EMily would hear of an attack on an apartment building, on the police radio band. She would be informed of witnesses claiming the attackers were wearing armour and carrying swords and spears, and the flashing light.
"Yes. I've visited a few colonies. They all have different styles." Samus looked over at EMily's translated reports, reading the text.
"Oh no..." Seras said as she stared reading the text. "Do you...think the police are going to want us to help?" she asked, thinking they might not for some reason.
"We might as well help out. I want to solve this mystery and put a stop to this invasion. At least that's my motivation."
"Photon, search in the map database, year 2014 AD, for the apartment described in the reports. Use any addresses and colors mentioned in the reports."

"Are going to have to walk there?" Seras asked as she stood.
"They probably have cabs here." Yorick commented.

The map would show that the apartment building wasn't within walking distance, being further into the city. However, the group may have learned that taxis can be called for them by the hotel reception desk.
Seras left the room and asked anybody at the receptionist desk to call for a cab. She just hoped somebody would understand her. Yorick followed her at a leisurely pace.
