After spending just slightly over six minutes in its coccoon, the grub stirred inside and ate its way out, the process for which it coccooned itself finished. Oddly, it hadn't undergone a drastic metamorphosis like one would expect an insect in such a position to do, instead just being slightly larger, and no longer having its underside be transculent in places. Having spent the time in the coccoon did leave it hungry again, however.
Once having eaten the coccoon in its entirity, the grub wriggled its way out of the tree. Picking up a new scent, the clacked its mandibles as it looked around, then moved eastwards, again, stopping at every clean strand of grass to eat it.
After some time of followingthe scent, the grub came across a termite mound. Although the shockwave produced by the meteor crash had destroyed the mound, the colony itself was still very much active. Curious by the scurrying by the other insects, the grub approach the termites, which the soldiers of the colony didn't appreciate, assuming threatening stances. Although curious about the bugs, speciffically how they tasted, the grub was dissuaded from moving closer due to the soldiers' sheer numbers, and backed away before moving on. It had to make due with eating more grass for the time being.
OoC: That's it for me for today.
