Samus stepped outside as well, walking to the police barricade, materialising her suit.

The police officers did not react well to Samus materialising her armour and large arm cannon in front of them.

Samus stopped and held up her free hand, keeping her arm cannon pointed at the ground. "Here to help." she said calmly, not knowing if they spoke English but hoping to get the message across.

The police didn't understand Samus, and were still rather worried about the cannon.

EMily opened up Photon and had it speak for her in Japanese.
She displayed the apartment's address on a map for the police.

Samus disengaged her suit, waiting for the situation to be sorted out.

the officer asked, looking at the map.

She pulled up the location of the hospital as well as their contact number.

the officer asked.

<"It is possible. However, we cannot be certain. I understand that there's a hostage situation. Do you have any cameras that can view what's inside from a distance?"

OOC: I'm going to be cooking dinner.

OOC: And if you're wondering, I can't use X-ray vision to see through stuff this large. What EMily sees in X-rays are the emitted X-rays from objects. She would need to transmit X-rays, and then receive them at the other end to see inside.

What about IR vision?

@Trilby. A lot of objects are opaque to infrared rays, including water and stone. They are often both transmitted and absorbed by black bodies. This is why you still are getting hot from the sun's radiation when you wear a white shirt. Because a white shirt reflects back most of the visible light that hits it, but you're still receiving infrared and ultraviolet which still can be absorbed.



Hmmm... there has to be a way to see through the building. I gotta think if there's anything I can do.

@Trilby: Nope, not unless she went up to the glass window, but even then she would also pick up the heat off of the glass window as well, which would obscure the vision. Here's a good infrared image of a house:

Not a single thing can be seen from the inside.

"Hmmm... I'll try and see what electronics are active in the building." She focused her mind on sensing magnetic fields coming from electric currents inside the building, and her eyes glowed a faint blue. Not enough to see the electric fields from people, but enough from electronics inside.

EMily would see that the electronics in the school building were, mostly, active. Primarily, this was lighting and other utilities.
