They explicitly told us they wanted to clear out a city because they were dropped onto this world, and they used their barbaric customs to scare the people away, because it worked for them in the past. If you combine that fact with the idea that this was something out of desperation, then they were doing something out of instinct."
She gave a serious look on her face.
"And, other than Samus, I am pretty much the only other person who has come in contact with extraterrestrial life. And I have spoke in peace with aliens on multiple occasions. Believe me Yorick, I forgave them for their transgressions and it wasn't easy. And that is the most important thing you must do if you are to understand an intelligence other than humans. And since there has been no record of them being here in the past, and that they were dropped off here suddenly, they might as well be extraterrestrials. And we have heard from multiple sources that that is the case. They don't operate the way you do. You cannot expect them to operate the same way as humans. Once you spend time with them, then that is the time you know how they operate."
