"I do not know of this 'jazz'. I rarely get the pleasure of hearing music on my travels. It is a nice treat, brings back memories of when I had companions." Roland said with a more obvious smile before he closed his eyes and seemed to fight back tears. He took a few moments to gather himself before he continued speaking. "The music sounded human. You are different from any other robot I have seen, X9. It almost seems as if you have a heartbox."
"Looks like you've got quite of few companions, just like me. And I've got a funny little scientist to thank for that." I say as I lean against my car.
They fought atop a skyscraper in the midst of a conjured storm. The city bellow had been ruined by their struggle; all activity had been ceased, its population evacuated long ago. There was a rabbit and a white hedgehog... Thing.
"Hmph, you may be swift with your fencing, Gladi-" Another rapier thrust interrupted the hedgehog's taunts. It barely moved as the edge bit its shoulder as it dodged. But the following lightning blast sent him reeling away. While the hedgehog had summoned the rabid storm, the rabbit had taken full advantage, using the harsh lightning bolts to replenish his own power reserves.
The white hedgehog struggled to its feet. Its body was warped, as if a child had drawn a bleached out Shadow the Hedgehog and brought it to life. Even its attire [http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=48694723] was entirely white. The only contrast was its yellow eyes. It stood and pointed its bleached white katana [http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_8DNIy7IdYPA/TThXFscWnMI/AAAAAAAAABw/U8ySNhkMBrc/s1600/TS-I16_540.jpg] At the rabbit.
The rabbit said nothing and simply pointed its Rapier [http://a.imageshack.us/img641/7768/p5qaa1n1meq4fdc07ptt4.jpg], firing another burst of electricity that the hedgehog dodged. The rabbit was only some inches shorter than the average man, had white fur that mingled with batches of beige, black and grey, red eyes and he kept his white hair parted at the middle. He wore a black armor mesh that hugged his frame, peeking under a gold trench coat.
The rabbit looked for the hedgehog, ears straining, but couldn't hear over the thunder of the storm above. Suddenly, he noticed a glow of violet energy adjacent to him and saw the hedgehog cast a glowing hand at him, shouting "CHAOS CONTROL!" in overdone Japanese accent.
At the same time, the rabbit's body surged with electricity as he lunged at it, the power propelling him. The tip of a lightning charged rapier hit the energy and there was a thunderous flash. For a while there was only black, the rabbit feeling as though he was being carried, then pulled, like being sucked into a vacuum. When it stopped, he hit something cold. He could hear jazz playing somewhere, but he still couldn't open his eyes....
Just a note, only the rabbit is there where everyone is now, the hedgehog has been sent elsewhere and we'll see him again eventually
"You understand High Speech? I did not expect you to know what a heartbox is." Roland said with some surprise. "You appear to be a machine, but there seems to be somethi-"
Roland drew one of his revolvers and aimed at the rabbit with blinding speed when it appeared in the cargo deck.
The rabbit didn't move, save the occasional twitch. He laid there, unconscious, though his move opened and closed. He looked as though he was trying to breathe. Eventually there was a gasp and its eyes snapped open. He sat up, senses still blurred and its head whipped about as he tried to get his bearings.
Eventually he noticed the man training a weapon at him and with a flash, his sword appeared in his hand. "Listen to me, human, I don't know who you are, where I am, but let's not start this on a bloody foot, no?" As he spoke, one could notice the subtle hint of Hispanic decent in his voice. "If you put your weapon away, I'll put mine away, deal?"
Dace who was eating his stir fried weasel. noticed that some random rabbit teleported into his ship. "What in tarnation are ya doing here!"
OOC: Can't believe you're back!
Roland holstered his gun as quickly as he drew it, mostly to show the rabbit that he could draw and fire just as fast if he needed to. "My apologies, I was just being cautious." He said, not taking his eyes off of the rabbit even to blink.
The rabbit saw the other man walk in and his paw dove into his pocket but froze once he saw the man put his weapon away. His free paw emerged from the coat and prepared to sheath his blade, only to realize it had no scabbard. He looked at the sword and remembered he had to release it.
He closed his eyes, concentrating and whispered "Te libero" and sword dissolved into crackling electricity that snaked into the back of his right hand and disappeared. He flexed his hand, making a mental note to practice this until he didn't have to use a verbal prompt.
He turned his attention to the others in the room. "Ah, but where are my manners? I am Gladius Fulgur-just call me Fulgur-. Have any of you seen one of the recolors? I was fighting one in Chicago some moments ago until what happened to transport me here."
Roland remained silent, watching the rabbit closely in case it decided to try anything. He sat back down on the floor and began to do his trick with the bullet again.
The sectoid idly entered the cockpit, looking around. It eventually saw Samus, and stared at her.
Medic idly left the group behind as he looked for regular people to heal.
Samus, noticing another presence in the cockpit, opened her eyes and sat up, looking around until she saw the Sectoid. Unsure of the creature's intellect or speech capability, she returned the stare, not really knowing what else she could do.
Medic would find a few people to heal, and the local medics were happy for the help, but most were dead before he got there.
