We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

[Kirke]

You nod to Caius, telling him that it is possible. You then tell EMily that the transmission was encrypted, and that you haven't even begun to crack that yet. You add that you have a bad feeling about the giant chaos marine, even his title seems suspicious. Wondering how you'd even go about taking down the huge being, you stand quiet for a moment. You then ask who Silence is, and if he could be a spy.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus looked at Shara as she talked of a spy, listening while the rest of the group talked.

 

[Slenn]

"We all have a bad feeling about Chaos Marines. But as to who Silence is, he or it won't say. It looks humanoid."

<color=purple>"I did first sense Silence's mass when he was cloaked. That's why I wasn't surprised when he tapped my shoulder from behind."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

When Joel heard EMily talk about Silence, he approached. [color=003399]"There's something suspicious about "Silence". He was really cagey when I asked him stuff last night, and he sort of implied he can travel between universes at will, and has been doing so quite often."[/color]

 

[Chungus]

"I see." Caius responded to Shara. "I would add my voice to the pool of opinions; The two names that were mentioned are also the two I find most suspicious. The mountain of a man - this Proditus - he disturbs me most. The appearance of the armour is one thing, but the claw-weapons were caked in blood, and flayed skin and severed heads... adorn his armour. And this 'Silence'. That he, or it does not speak, and that I am unable to truly read its body language, I am uneasy with this.

Alain also claimed Silence accosted him, although I found this claim to be... questionable." He stated, then paused.

"Out of the two, the fact that the giant presents himself with such shamelessness means he would be the one less likely to resort to underhanded tactics."

"Perhaps making one assume such is the point." Yeul interjected. "There is also the possibility they are working with one another. But there is also the possibility this transmision has no ill intent at its heart, to begin with."

"Silence" exited the ship, and walked out into the field. They were about to reach for their sword, intending to practice sword swings, when they noticed some in the group looking at them. In turn, they turned their head slightly, looking back.

 

[Kirke]

You blink in surprise as Gwen tells you Silence can cloak. You say that somebody who can turn invisible certainly would make for a good spy. As you listen to the views of the others, you wonder what should be done. When Silence steps out, you look at him but move your hand away from your blaster.

Samus looked at Silence when he stepped out, gun hand moving slowly to her holster.

 

[Chungus]

"Silence" looked at the various group members gathered around one another, their gaze lingering on Samus when they saw her reaching her holster. Rather then reach for their sword as originally intended, "Silence" turned towards the group and held out the arms out at their sides, with their elbows bend by roughly 45 degrees. One foot was placed infront of the other, and they had their head tilted slightly.

"If either of these people are believed to be a threat, then they should not be alowed to travel with us." Caius stated. "That is my final take on the situation." he added shortly after. Seeing Samus reach for her holster, Caius placed a hand on Yeul's shoulder, and began guiding her away, expecting conflict to break out, soon.

 

[Slenn]

The three sisters looked at Silence when he came out of the ship.

"I suppose keeping an eye on him wouldn't be a bad idea. The transmission he sent could be data regarding us. Do you think we should apprehend him?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus' hand stopped when she noticed Silence's motion. She stared him down, trying to figure him out.

 

[Kirke]

You tell EMily that it might be best, just in case. You say that if he is the spy, he'll likely escape if left alone as he seems ready for a fight.

 

[Chungus]

"Silence" lowered their arms soon after Samus stopped reaching for her holster. But seeing her stare themselves down, and her not lowering her hand, either, "Silence" took three steps forward, and repeated the gesture they did before.

Caius lead Yeul a few meters away, and had her stay behind a tree. "Let us wait here and see how the situation develops." He said to her.

"Do you think conflict is imminent?" She asked Caius in turn, looking up to him.

"Possibly."

 

[Slenn]

Gwen silently motioned for the others to follow.
The three sisters moved towards Silence, ready to incapacitate him.

Samus lowered her hand a little, but stopped when she saw the sisters move forward. This was a tricky situation. Silence seemed to not want to fight, but the group was pushing it.

 

[Slenn]

"Listen, Silence." Just realized what an oxymoron that sounded like. "We need to talk to you. We need to know what was the nature of the transmission you sent out."

 

[Chungus]

"Silence's" gave moved between the sisters as they began approaching them. They could see where this was going, and they weren't having it.

Placing their right hand on the hilt of the sword, "Silence" flicked the switch at the back and underside of the hand guard. At the same time as they did this, they held out their left arm, with the palm facing towards the sisters, fingers pressed together, a 'halt' gesture.

They heard EMily's comment, but gave no response other then holding out their left hand in the 'halt' gesture.

 

[Slenn]

The sisters stopped, and EMily's voice became a little more commanding.
"Cloaking and hiding won't do you any good. Some of us have sensors that will detect cloaked activity. You are outnumbered, so don't attempt it. Who are you sending transmissions to and what are the transmissions containing?"

 

[Chungus]

"Silence" kept their hand on the hilt of their sword for a moment longer, even after the sisters stopped moving, but eventually slowly moved their hand away.

In response to EMily, moved the fingers of their left hand they held together, and touched their thumb with his, repeating this thrice in quick succession, pantomiming a mouth moving. After this, they shook their hand, and brought the index finger to the bottom of their face plate once more.

They did nothing after this, for a moment, then held out their left arm again, this time with the palm facing towards themselves, and moved the index finger and thumb of their right hand - the tips of which touched one another - over the palm of left hand. And after this, "Silence" pointed towards Dave's ship with their left hand.
[hr]
"Things are at their boiling point, it seems." Yeul commented, taking a small step to the side, and glancing at the scene between "Silence" and the group.

Caius only hummed in response, looking the situation over carefully.

 

[Kirke]

You step forward along with the others, and glance over at Samus before closing your eyes. Breathing in deeply, you begin to feel the weaves of those around you. The complex and currently defensive weave of Samus, the slightly offensive but well thought-out weaves of the Mason sisters. You turn your focus to your opponent and struggle to keep your focus through the shock. It is not possible for you know the person dead, killed in part by you, but the man in front of you is the greatest fighter you have met on this planet.

 

[Slenn]

"'Talking'... 'no'... 'quiet'... 'writing'... 'Dave's ship'. Are you writing things down about Dave's ship and then sending them?"
