We Are Our Avatars IX: Act V: The Sabotage of the Scandolous Saurian Scoundrels (Open)

Having never seen a flying ship before and completely unaware that Dave's ship was similar, Nalyssa was a bit frightened at this new ship and the man inside. Her left hand caught on fire, though she didn't show any sign that she was in pain. "Kenna, what is going on? What is this flying machine?" She asked.

 

[Kirke]

Húriel backed away when the ship came down to land, drawing her swords as she prepared for what she thought would be some frightening monster to fight. But when it simply landed, and a man stepped out, she simply stood stunned for a minute or two. She shook her head and holstered her swords, then replied to the man. "You are correct, though it appears he is not as crazy at it first appeared."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Hey, hey, calm down!" Kenna proclaimed to Nalyssa. "That's a spaceship. It's a transport, that's all." She looked to Húriel. "Heya. So, how'd it go?"

 

[Demonjazz]

The burly soldier looked over to Kenna. "So you're the group of people who listen to Darkan. Anyway, help yourself to the armory, just make sure to bring it back when we leave this planet."
"We will find if you steal anything!!" Darkan added.

The flame in Nalyssa's hand went out, but she still looked warily at both Darkan and the giant guy.

 

[Kirke]

Húriel looked over at Kenna. "It went... Well, I suppose, in the end. I am fairly certain however, that the local guards are not too happy with us. That reminds me, do you have my backpack here?"

 

[Demonjazz]

The burly man looked at everybody for a minute. "What are you pansies gonna do! Stand here or actually help! Will you get on the ship already!"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Kenna passed Húriel her bag, somewhat carefully, then looked at the man on the ship. "Give us a sec, Slab Bulkhead. I didn't know we were moving out right this second. Besides, we got our own ship and weapons."

"I- I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what is happening..." Nalyssa replied to the soldier guy.

 

[Demonjazz]

The military man had slowly walked over to Kenna, and drew himself up to his full height before yelling down at her and saying "The name is Jason Stone! I also accept Captain, and Sir! And if you want to get on my good side, Sir Captain Jason Stone!... The second!... Esquire!" He then looked over to Nalyssa "Reptialian aliens are taking over this planet. We'll explain the rest on the way over to where we're meeting the Human Federation."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Kenna looked the man in eye eye as he shouted, but as soon as he turned away she winced and rubbed her now slightly ringing ears.

"An invasion? Very well, I will help you. Unless my companions think otherwise?"

 

[Kirke]

"Thanks." Húriel took the back, and first took off the long clothed stick and one of the cylinders from it before putting it down. She glanced over at the man, frowning. A big brute of a man, and it seems like he has the manners of one as well. She looked back down at the clothed stick now on the ground. After some work she produced and strung a bow almost as tall as herself, and hung a quiver on the side of the backpack. Standing up, she put the backpack on and held her bow in her left hand. She glared at the man now identified as Jason, and said to Kenna, "I dislike him already."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Kenna nodded in response to Húriel, agreeing with her.

 

[Demonjazz]

"Well ladies! We do not have all day! Move it! Move it! Call anyone who isn't here cause I'm not waiting for them! And yes, you do have to go on my ship! It's the only one that has clearance for where we are going!"

 

[Kirke]

"Not everybody are here yet. How about you stop yelling in the meantime? It's giving me a headache." Húriel said, looking up at Jason with a very annoyed look on her face.

 

[Demonjazz]

Jason did quiet down a bit, but he was still naturally loud. "Well that sounds like their problem, doesn't it? And I would advise you not to talk to a superior officer that way."

 

[Kirke]

Húriel blinked, then grinned as if Jason had said something terribly funny. "I know I do not look the part, but please trust me when I say that I don't have a superior officer. Though, I imagine my title would mean very little for you."

 

[Demonjazz]

Jason waved his hand dismissively. "Pfft, you aren't even part of the Space Corp. Everyone knows that you land troops are just canon fodder."

 

[Kirke]

Húriel's expression hardened again, as she was getting annoyed at Jason's flippant attitude. "I am Inquisitor Húriel Lavellan, leader of the Inquisition and all who are under it's command. I suggest, captain, that you lay easy on the military barkings. We are not from the same worlds, and our fancy titles are not worth the paper we write them on here. If you wish to have our aid in fighting these lizardmen, then you will simply have to wait until the others get back here."
