Takashi then noticed hunter and the Argonian arguing. He went to stand between then.

"Enough, already! Listen, if we're going to win against this Joel, then we need to stop fighting amongst ourselves and focus on the bigger issue! What are you two even arguing about in the first place??"

OOC: In my last post, I basically stopped my part in the argumant.

"How we obtained our magical ability is irrelevant. Besides, most are not born with it. They learn to use it over time."

"If you ask me, I think a bit of both would be good... Think of this: A gun would allow you to hit something at a distance, meanwhile magic can do a bunch of things. You can substitute one when the other runs out." Takashi explained.

This arguing was starting to annoy Eragon but Takashi had intervened before he could. A good thing too Eragon planned to use magic to break this up but this would have to do. Still the argument was interesting to Eragon. It was similar to a debate he had with Oromis and it brought back memories of his old mentor. "Tuatha du orothrim" murmered Eragon, it was no spell just a proverb in the Ancient Language.

Eragon could still vaguely sense Saphira but was still unable to pinpoint it. Joel would probably know something so he would have to avoid killing him right away.

"I have my bow, I do not need your guns. I cannot trade knowledge of magic for the training in any case, as my knowledge of actual magic is lacking, and the Thu'um... that is something else entirely."

While everyone bickers and fights, they fail to see what is happening on the TV. All of the reporters in Wellington seen to have the same thing happen to them. They would film a dark, creature with the head of a wolf, wings, and a sword impaled through it's body. Before being attacked, and the news feed going static.

"A bit. I used a pistol and a shotgun during the zombie pandemic but I lost both of them during an incident. My friend Kohta taught me how to use the shotgun, while I figured out how to use the pistol on my own."

Preginald was the only one actually paying attention to the television. "The rest of you lot seeing this? News teams in Wellington are getting pick off like flies. By something that looks like a wolf apparently. Seems like something we should check out."

Eragon left the room. "I'm going to find where Preginald keeps his salad, I just ran out of food." He called back. Eragon found a store cupboard and filled his pouch with a few apples, oranges, berries and such. He returned to the room. The others were still talking but the screen on the T.V had been replaced with static. "Something is wrong with the television" Eragon said as he sat down and drew Brisingr and laid it across his lap.

Dromaeus scrutinised the creature in the enchanted window before the image was obscured.

"I do not like the look of that. It does not look mortal, or natural."

"Thanks, that would be great. Though I'd like to keep using my bat and knives if I run out of ammo." Takashi said to Hunter before turning his attention to the tv. "Perhaps we should go and deal with that creature."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Do I smell a hunting expedition? Why I believe I do!" Preginald quickly ran out of the room, returning a moment later wearing a dented pith helmet and carrying an ornate bolt-action rifle. "Let's get moving if we are going to bag this one, don't want it to get away. And hey, if we get lucky maybe it has something to do with Joel. It does look like a black wolf after all."
Preginald hops into the hover-bus and begins laying on the horn.

Dromaeus snatched his satchel, placing his close combat weapons inside and removing his bow before jumping into the bus.

"I am with you, automaton. That creature needs to be vanquished."

Eragon held his palm up and blue light flowed from his hand into his sword as he transfered some of his power into the saphire in his sword. He sheathed his sword and said "I'll go ahead." Eragon checked his sword was buckled tightly and his armour was on correctly. His bow was strung and in the quiver along with his white-fletched arrows. He prepared to run with all haste.

OOC: The hover-bus can apparently do 10,000mph, you know.

Takashi nodded and placed the pistol in his pocket then went onto the bus. Once inside he went about checking his other weapons. The bat was still in fine condition, but he wondered how much use it would be against the creature. His trench knives might fair better if were fast enough, but they looked like they could stand some sharpening. His pistol might be his best shot with this.
