OOC: Random: Cool. Should kill some time. Too bad about Eragon though.

"Hostiles? Out here? Could it be Doc?" Will asked threw his suits built in COM system, as the shuttle prepared to land on the surface.

 

[Random berk]

"Maybe. It sounds like pirates from our timeline. Its possible this Doc Sparkle could have brought them here, or they could have come through by accident. Either way, be on your guard." The tank started moving forward again, at a brisk walking pace so the others could keep up.

"Understood." Will said as he exited the shuttle. Eragon said he needed more time the think of how to keep him alive and stayed on the shuttle. He started following the "Mako" as he took out his shotgun.

 

[Random berk]

"Don't know" Shepard said through her comms system. "Apart from the batarians, the scan reveals a large man-made structure to the North-West, not far from here. That has to be our target. First though, we should see whether the batarians are hostile or not."

 

[Random berk]

"Yeah, they are. Nasty bastards. They like taking slaves as part of their culture, they tend to have really bad tempers, and they hate humans." As she spoke, the batarian freighter came into view. A number of figures were visible around it and when they spotted the tank, their activity became frenzied.
"Looks like they're getting ready to give us a very warm welcome."

"Well fantastic." Will said as he readied himself.

 

[Random berk]

Burning slugs of metal began tearing silently through the vacuum as the batarians opened fire. The Mako fired back with a shell, blasting the side of the freighter, then opened up with its machine gun.

Gamma approaches and raised a grenade launcher. "What the fuck is that thing?" he yelled.
Theta loaded his sniper rifle. "Where are their weak points" he asked Shepard.
The other Deltas aimed their own weapons and took combat positions.

Jack boarded the same shuttle as Eragon, with PM keeping a close eye on him and the Wayward Vagabond following.

Doc Sparkle watches as the Normandy hovers a distance away.
Like lambs to the slaughter.

As fire started to come in Will took cover in a small crater. It was a little hard to get used to the lower gravity. He looked for targets that were within range and opened fire.

 

[Random berk]

"The face, the chest, whatever you want!" Shepard said, as the Mako began to move at full speed, swinging from side to side to avoid the worst of the enemy fire. A rocket blasted from one of the portable watchtowers and shot just over the tank. A moment later, a shell impacted inside the tower and incinerated the pirate inside.

OOC: I have to go soon, stuff to do tomorrow.

Theta began blasting the rifle, blowing heads off.
"Cover us." growled Upsilon, indicating himself and Gamma.
The two of them sprinted at superhuman speeds at the batarians, and began fighting them hand-to-hand.

 

[Random berk]

The freighter began to lift off, and a pair of hatches opened in the front exposing a pair of heavy cannons. The Mako started firing its main guns indiscriminately into the ship's flank, causing bursts of flame to emanate from the punctured hull.

Will did his best to pick off any of the aliens that he saw. He moved forward and took cove behind a rock closer to the enemy position.

"As an officer I was always leading troops, rather than firing at them myself. So this is somewhat new to me. And I've never fought in space." Will called back behind him. He stood up to get a better shot on an enemy and another one fired at him. He watched the bullets whiz toward him, then drop to the ground as a blue light shimmered and rippled in front of him. He crouched down and regained his composure.
