The child became known as Sephiroth. I confronted the father, Professor Hojo, who shot me and experimented on my body. In an attempt to save me, Lucrecia infused my body with Chaos-tainted Mako and the Protomateria, which allowed me to control Chaos. Lucrecia became ill after Sephiroth was born and I locked myself in a coffin to atone for my sins for twenty-three years. At fifty-seven, I was discovered by Cloud Strife, who I assisted in defeating Sephiroth twice."
