The Phantom was blasted by the orbs, slamming into rock wall. You're not done yet... said a voice in his head. It was Titan Lapetus.

Suddenly, the Phantom felt re energized and zoomed across the cave at a speed never seen before. "Come'on! USE CHAOS!" he yells again.

Elie puts her hand on her chin in thought. "Could it be... emotion???" she says.

Haru looks at Elie and back to Ulquiorra. He starts laughing at the incredulous idea.

The Infernal Golems were confused. They had just been attacking the army that had suddenly assaulted the fort when they had disappeared as soon as they arrived. Order less and without adversaries to attend to, the Infernals returned to the exterior of the torture room to take up a new vigil. They had been waiting for quite awhile when they suddenly approached by 6 acolytes bearing the symbol of the Lich Kel'thuzad. Their leader motioned the golems to follow them as they left the airport. The Infernals looked at each before following them on their pilgrimage to preginalds ruins.

Vincent, still in his Galian Beast form, shook his head, then dashed at the Phantom and began beating him into the ground.

Reno looked at Charlotte. "So, everyone from those universes has a flashpoint match? How is the champion decided? I mean, who would be the champion for Joel's universe?" he asked.

As the Phantom was being pounded to the ground, Titan Lapetus's voice rang in the Phantom's head again. If he is going to be like that... I will force him to become CHAOS!

Vincent rolled out of the way and returned to his human form. "Why do you want me to use Chaos? Do you not know it spells only death for you?" he asked, holstering Cerberus and taking out Death Penalty. I suppose I should thank Alastair and Preginald for the hordes of enemies they provided for me. This gun feels strong enough to kill Sephiroth. he thought.

The Pride Demon turned around. "WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF? THAT YOU MIGHT LOSE CONTROL? MY LIFE IS DEVOTED TO BATTLE, NOTHING MORE!"

The Pride Demon stumbles from the bullets, but continues to walk towards him.

"AND WHAT OF YOUR PAST? YOU ISOLATE YOURSELF EVEN WITH THOSE CONSIDERED TO BE FRIENDS... CLOUD, BARRET, AND CID... WHAT ARE YOU HIDING???" he once again charges at Vincent

Vincent sidestepped and fired again. "If you work for the man who created my universe, then you know why I isolate myself." Vincent said. He unleashed another blast of lightning.

As Knife taps away on the laptop, a single badly wounded tank driver limps across the rubble, before pulling himself into the helicopter. Knife waits, then draws his revolver and fires at point blank, hitting the man and snapping what's left of his neck back. Knife closes the laptop, which folds itself up into a phone, which he slips in his pocket. He then stands, and walks over to the glowy ball of light everyone is standing near.

The Pride Demon's natural Defense against Magic nullifies most of the attack.

"I'D RATHER HEAR IT FROM MY ENEMY!" He lunges to grab Vincent

Vincent punched the demon then rammed a sabaton into him. "Fine. As you know, Professor Hojo was experimenting on humans. You also know about Lucrecia." he snarled, withdrawing the sabaton. "Hojo impregnated her, as you know, and then inserted Jenova cells into the foetus. And I could have stopped him." He punctuated the last sentence with a kick to the demon's face, followed by a bullet to the head.

The Demon laid prone, finally that Vincent had realized his past.

"GOOD... YOU SHALL LEARN TO COPE.... This is your gift..."

The world around Vincent reforms back to reality. The Cerberus Phantom had disappeared. However, the gift that was given to Vincent was sporadic memory surges that Vincent relived, watching the events that he wished that he could have stopped...
