Joe jammed his hand into his pocket and armed the 'Mass Effect Medallion'. He extended the space just long enough to let Hyperion swing before he reached Joe, as Joe was about to make a hit.

OoC: Actually the Carnifex was a present from Shepard, the medallion is something Joe created when he heard what a 'Mass Effect' field was.

Joe wasn't expecting that. The words hit him like a brick, but he managed to write 'C4 x100' on the armour as he passed.

"T-that's different..." Joe stuttered as the explosion triggered, merely blowing off the heavy armour that had been spawned in.

Hyperion stumbled back, still taking no damage.

"Hmmm... Why aren't you fighting at your fullest? Are you afraid? Have you not realized that EVERY Champion here is depending on EACH OTHER TO SUCCEED?!" He charges more power, surrounding himself with an energy field...

Joel scrawled I've been saying that for hours! on his pad.

"WHAT!?" Joe said, stomping the ground again as tiles from the floor spat out squares, that collapsed to make a disco ball like at Preginald's fortress. He then pulled out his hammer and threw his hammer in front of him. The hammer landed and made a portal between Joe and Hyperion.

He then singed the ground quickly making a portal on the ground.

Finally he dribbled the disco ball into the air before hitting it into the direction of Hyperion. Jumping through the portal below him, he climbs into the disco ball as it flew over the second portal.

OoC: I'll explain again if this didn't make sense. This was all just to get through the energy field.

Hyperion scoffed at the Disco Ball attack. Deploying another blackhole, the disco ball disappeared.

Hyperion then teleported behind Joe, giving in a hard kick, followed by a mach-speed punch, sending Joe flying away.

However, during this attack, Hyperion communicated with Joe with his "mind"

Joe, you have an undying passion with your friends. Past and Present. They are counting on you right now... Fulfill that wish, right now...

OoC: Joe has gained the ability of these right now... Now all he has to do is concentrate on being seriously in-tuned to the fact of defeating the Titans...
