The gate crashed open as Swiftrunner managed to align himself to get through and he continued on away from the compound. "Now what?" Snarled Swiftrunner "where did the mage say to bring the diamonds?"

Swiftrunner had long been at thought on how to deal with the mage but he thought of nothing and so had little choice but to deliver the items he requested.

 

[Random berk]

"He didn't." I said as I wound a bandage around my arm. "If he isn't planning to meet us in Africa, I don't know what to do. We won't be leaving the way we came, and we sure as hell won't be booking any flights. Even if Sierra Leone had an international airport, we'd stand out even more now than we did before, shot full of holes and carrying a bag full of blood diamonds."

OOC: ug... FINALLY!!!

Joe looked up as the artillery round barreled towards the Stormwalker. Alek wasn't going to get out of there in time! Thinking fast, Joe grabbed two sticky notes and drew the same weird circular squiggle design on them. He then slipped through the hatch on the roof of the walker and stuck them both to the metal exterior.

"Here goes nothing!" He screamed.

Jumping off the walker, he grabbed onto the shell's side and hurdled towards the walker. Just when it looked like the Shell hit the walker, it was reflected back towards the base where it had came from. Joe was still hanging onto it as it went.

Confused Swiftrunner asked "Don't you have means to contact him or any of the -snarl- others who left to find the other items?" Swiftrunner was now competant with piloting the machine but would much rather be running.

OOC:will be going soon and tommorow is an unsure for me (stupid job) But ill try to be on around dinner time and then again late at night.

 

[Arrogancy]

Alek and Saito braced for impact. The shell was moving too quickly to avoid getting hit, and the armor wouldn't survive a direct shot. It's over, Alek thought. His life, his destiny, was over. Surprisingly, his thoughts didn't drift to his parents, who were waiting for him in Heaven, but to Count Volger. Alek could see his guardian and the closest thing he had had to a friend before him, looking annoyed, as usual. You should have done better Alek, he could almost hear Volger say, I thought you were better prepared for this. Alek bowed his head, he was going to die, far from home, and in vain; Volger was right. The shot was about to connect and Alek readied himself, then... Nothing. Opening his eyes Alek found that the walker wasn't destroyed and he wasn't dead. Saito seemed as baffled as he was. "Let's speed up." Was all Alek could say, Saito only nodded. Something was missing though... Where was Joe?

 

[Random berk]

OOC: No problem. I'll check in, but unless everyone is reassembling then I'll stay out of it.

"There's the radio. I don't know if we can contact the cyclops, but we can at least report our status to the others." I grabbed the radio and switched it on.

"Calling all other teams, this is Mike. We've secured the diamonds, but we have no way of getting out of Africa. Does anyone have suggestions as to a course of action, or better yet, a pick up?"

Joe winced as he opened his eyes. "I really hope that worked, please don't tell me I'm dead." He thought. As the facility frontier wall was rushing towards him, he got another thought. "MUST LET GO!!" He let go as the shell began its declining arc towards the wall, and the momentum of the shell shot Joe straight over the wall.

*insert artillary shell hitting fortified wall stock sound here*

The wall crumbled under the impact, a hole formed that was big enough for the Stormwalker to make it through. As Joe landed with a thud the dust from the blast blanketed the scene, he couldn't see anything.

[Arrogancy]

The blast was unexpected. Rather, it was expected, just not at the wall of the compound. Alek was shocked, something had just blown a hole in the side of the adamantium refinery, and he was half certain that Joe had something to do with it. Either that, or the operator of the artillery cannon had awful aim. Regardless, an opportunity had been created and he sped the stormwalker straight for the hole in the wall of the compound.

 

[Drakmorg]

Preginald's hover-bus radio pipes up again, "Calling all other teams, this is Mike. We've secured the diamonds, but we have no way of getting out of Africa. Does anyone have suggestions as to a course of action, or better yet, a pick up?"

Responding over the radio Preginald says, "Roger that Mike, this is Preginald, we have intel suggesting that Rugal will be arriving in Tokyo, Japan sometime and have staked out the location. If I leave Urai here with the uranium stockpile I can be there for pick up soon, over."

 

[The Invisible Goldfish]

"Hmm, Preginald I'm going to stay behind and try to and try to contact the Consortium and guard the uranium."

OOC: I've got to get off early tonight, so goodbye and goodnight everyone!

"Preginald?" I thought for a moment, trying to place the unfamiliar name.

"Ah, you're that... that guy with the golden hover-bus, right? OK, we'll be waiting at the following co-ordinates." I gave the location, and instructed Swiftrunner to bring the Hummer to a halt in the dunes.

OOC: Hmm, sounds like not much is going to happen for a while. I'll follow the lead and log off. Goodnight all.

After using a cloaking device to conceal the nuclear rod containers, Preginald drives the hover-bus to the co-ordinates given by Mike.

OOC: Looks like things are slowing down, I'm off for tonight then. Goodbye for now eveyone.

Blinded by the dust, Joe stumbles to his feet. "Well that put a hole in their plans." he chuckled.

"Hey you." a guard yelled pointing the a rifle at Joe. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Well you see officer, I wanted to see the water spouts that are in Iceland, but I got lost, any way you could help me out?" Joe said smirking.

"Don't you dare give me sass boy!" He raised the gun to his eye and aimed for Joe's head.

"Oh no you don't" he said, as he twisted to the point he was perpendicular to his aggressor.

"WHAT!? Where'd he go?!" the guard exclaimed.

Machine gun fire took down one of the soldiers near gap in the wall, as Alek neared, almost at the wall itself. A blast from the stormwalkers main cannon took out a group of reinforcements coming from the main compound. From the wall, there was a distance of less than 50 yards to the main refinery. There's the target, Alek thought. Now that he was in, he'd need to stay on his toes. If the operators of this facility had artillery on standby, then there must be other heavy equipment to deal with major assaults. The goal was to get some adamantium from the complex and get out before they destroyed the stormwalker.

Joe looked on as the stormwalker did what Joe presumed it did best, walk all over the competition. He needed to get into the main building if they had any hope of getting the adamantium. "But how?" Looking at all the troops on the way he couldn't just slip past them. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Joe jumped onto the cockpit window of the Stormwalker, half scaring Alek and Saito to death.

"I need you to shoot me into the main building!"

"Joe where the hell did you go, why are you outside, and more importantly... ARE YOU CRAZY!!" Alek exclaimed.

"Just shoot your main cannon at the building, I'll handle the retrieving the adamantium, you and Saito just make sure we can get out of here in one piece with the walker!"

 

[Arrogancy]

Alek wanted to say that was moronic... but he didn't have any better ideas to get past the ever-growing horde of security forces. He turned to the barrel of the main cannon. Taking out the shell already loaded, he turned back to Joe. "I'll aim for the main doors, but hurry. I don't know how long we can keep them distracted." With that, Joe hopped in as Alek prepared the shot, straight for the entry to the main complex...

OOC: actually expected to ride the shell in but that's fine

With a blast from the main cannon, Joe was launched directly towards the main doors of the facility. "I'm really happy I never got drawn ear, that would have been painful" he thought. The guards little attention to him as he flew above them, as they were more concerned about the giant iron war-machine sitting in there base.

As he was about to hit the door, Joe twisted around to catch himself like a piece of paper, and quickly stopped at the foot of the door. He examined the crack where the two metal doors would open.

"Hm... air tight, good thing I'm not air."

And with that he slipped through the door undetected.

 

[Arrogancy]

The forces began shooting at the stormwalker as Alek took his place at the helm once more. Thankfully, the stormwalker was an armored war machine, so the bullets bounced harmlessly off. Saito took out his own guns and hopped down, ready to tear a bloody swathe through the enemy. Alek, meanwhile, started up the machine guns again. More shots rang out that did virtually no damage to the walker. If that's the best they have, Alek thought, this might be easier than I thought. From below a muffled explosion rocked the walker somewhat. Grenades, Alek thought. Of course, things were never so easy...

As Joe looked around the hallway he was in looked spotless, not a thing was out of place. glowing neon lights were flashing red all around the hallway.

"Now if I was adamantium, where would I be?" looking around there was no real indication as to where it was held.

[Team 4-32 report to the upper barracks to fend off the intruders in the courtyard, Team Omega report to the lab area Section 247 absolutely nothing is allowed to get to that Adamantium!!] the overhead speakers announced.

"Well that answers that but where's that lab?!" Running off to the lab sector indicated by the overhead signs the hallways.
