Seeing that the two balls of light would get by his barrier, Ryu opted to drop it to allow for greater mobility. He ran forward ducking under one with a spinning motion and using the momentum to unleash a miniature tornado of flame which made a beeline for the attacker. However, the second one hit him in the chest.

Balthier kept following the sounds of battle, occasionally stopping to listen more carefully and change direction. Eventually, he came upon Ryu fighting an opponent in peculiar armour. Hoping to catch the assailent off-guard, Balthier took aim and fired at the woman.
OoC: All of the bullets fired by Balthier are of the armour-piercing variety BTW.
@Slenn: I'll be disappointed if he won't use it at least once over the course of the RP. xP

Bullet eventually found Ryu and Edgar fighting some future ninja thing. Raising her gauntlets, she yelled her usual chant. "Releasing Armagus! Heat up!" She started to rush at the future female figure.

OOC @Salty: They are mostly pure energy, like lighting if you will. However they explode exponentially when they strike as they un-condense.
The ball that missed Ryu flew into the side of the castle causing it to detonate and blow a chunk out of it's mortar. The force of the other ball colliding with Ryu launched him back as well as shocked him. The figure was covered in the tornado of flames which caused her armour to shine with a hellish light but she mostly seemed un-perturbed by the flames spinning around her. When Edgar's lightening bolts struck the woman it at first looked like she was convulsing from them before they ran from the main part of her body to her hands where she condensed the raw energy into a ball and returned it at Edgar. The woman then felt something thud into her shoulder and looked down to see that the armour had been broken and there was blood coming from the hole. She proceeded to dig her fingers into the wound in an attempt to rip out the bullet before pushing it out using some of the energy. See looked for the source of her new assailant and seeing Balthier, she coated the bullet in purple energy and returned it back at him. Then directing the fire still raging around her towards the wound, the woman groaned as it was cauterised and the armour resealed. At the last moment she heard something rushing up behind her and turned to see Bullet coming at her. The woman instinctively raised her arms in a cross and charged them with energy as a large minute reaction to Bullet's charge.

Ryu hit the wall hard, and fell to the ground. He seemed to growl for a moment, and stood back up. Annoying... Perhaps... No, not for this level of opponent.

OOC: Let's finish this in the next round or so, because I don't want to stay up too late. If it gets too late, @Nailik you know what to do with Edgar.
Edgar ducked behind a corner, narrowly avoiding the charged energy that he saw building up. Although he got sprayed by the collateral damage. He grunted as some of the rubble damaged him.
Edgar then pulled out a very large drill from his coat pocket with an extendable sturdy drill bit.
He waited for Bullet to attack, and once she was finished, he proceeded to charge to plunge the hacking drill into the armor.
OOC: The drill in FF6 is supposed to reduce the armor of the target as well as damage it.

The moment Balthier saw the bullet he fired exit the wound of the assailtant and her looking his way, Balthier began strafing around her to make himself a harder target to hit. When the assailant shot the bullet back, it narrowly missed his head, only scraping past his right cheeck.

The woman's eyes followed Bullet as she jumped into the air but was unable to react as the fireball collided with her face and forced onto the ground and onto her back. The force of the fireball slightly scorched her helmet and even broke some of it's visor revealing a grey eye within. Because she was on the ground, Ryu's horizontal slash and Edgar's charge missed their target. She formed a purple circle of energy beneath her back which she then slammed her hands onto, detonating it's charge, which launched herself and a ton of sand into the air obscuring anyone in close proximity's vision. The woman then angled herself so that she landed on the castle wall and gazed down at the courtyard. She then created a ring of four purple balls which she proceeded to launch at all her assailants before dashing for the door at the end of the rampart, dropping a device which locked onto the floor as she ran.
After Edgar covered his eyes from the sand, he ran forward before stopping in front of the device. He grunted as he tried his best to shield himself from the attack. His armor did its best to absorb the blow.
"Careful! There's something on the floor at the entrance!" Edgar warned.

Ryu was taken aback by the charge's explosion and jumped back, but still couldn't see where the woman had gone. He looked into the air, but couldn't spot her. Damn. Where is she? Did she land up there? I need to find a way up there.
He quickly runs into another castle doorway, casting a healing spell on himself to heal any injuries. He would find that woman soon enough, having spent some time learning his way around the castle.

Bullet covered her eyes as the woman launched herself into the air. Since her vision was obscured (OoC: And because of 1-20 random # generator) she didn't really see the purple energy ball racing at her until last second when it hit her directly on her left leg.

Standing a fair distance away from the assailtant, Balthier could clearly see her launch herself out of the cloud of sand. Turning around to face her, he raised his rifle, but imediately dropped to the ground when he saw her manifesting a ball of energy. Once he hit the ground, grabbed the barrel of the rifle with his left hand, folded his arms close to his chest and rolled closer to the wall to avoid the explosion the energy ball would create upon impact. Having dodged the assailant's attack, Balthier sprang to his feet and fired at the assailant as she ran, aiming for her centre of mass.
OoC @Rosh: Heh. Dual Ultima. There are sooo many game-breaking moves at the end off FF6. My favorite is Genji Gloves+Offering+Quick.

The woman slowed a little as she reached the door and felt Baltheir 's bullet scraped along her back. She suddenly looked panicked and gripped her back she stopped moving before remembering where she was. She gazed into the courtyard once more to try and see where Baltheir was and instead caught the satisfying sight of Bullet being knocked to the ground by her projectile. She disappeared through the doorway and began running down the top corridor of the castle, dropping a device similar to the one before after every so often. She turned a corner and came face to face with a guard whom she decked with a armoured foot to the face before locking another device on his body. The woman continued on looking for stairs leading downwards.
@Nail: Still trying to get everybody to learn Ultima. I just remember the one time i was facing against the Ice Dragon. Celes was virtually unkillable

Being knocked to the ground, Bullet immediately got herself up, and used her Heat Up ability again as her red glow returned. Seeing the devices, she cautiously started to approach them, creeping closer and closer until she was about 1 yard away from it.
