"... Ooookk then." Bullet said to Edgar, somewhat getting the idea.

"I've seen what it does. It burns, it destroys, it obliterates any and everything if left unchecked. I've seen what twistedness it brings. The thought that it was compiled into one man. No, not a man. A monster. A beast that..!" Bullet paused before whispered. "[sub]Destroyed everything that I treasured ... My family, or what I had close to a family. Killed by one man...[/sub]"

 

[Saltyk]

"And do you fear that power?" Ryu asked nonchalantly.

 

[Slenn]

"It is an experimental piece still in the testing stages. Its run to here taxed its power cells so hard it has to rest for few days." He said to Ryu.

"Theoretically, yes it could bring you back to where you came from. In order to bring you back to where you came from there are 5 coordinates that are necessary. The first three are spatial coordinates: up-down, left-right, forward-back. The fourth is the time coordinate. And lastly, the fifth coordinate, and the most difficult to pin down, the timeline coordinate. That is which alternate timeline do you belong to. Do you remember how you got here?" He asked Roz.

Royce just stayed close to Roz.

"Ah well. I'm sure we can work something out on the spot upon the day you're returned to your home." Balthier replied with a small smile. "I do find myself wondering however. How did you end up in this place to begin with?"
He chuckled slightly upon hearing Edgar roughly ask the same question.

"No. I simply need a way to overcome that power. To be better than that power. What I faced was unrefined and cruel. Fighting may be all I know, but I've never fought for the sake of it. Never did, never has been. Fighting needs a purpose." Bullet sighed.

"I don't even know why I bothered even telling you that. Pay it no attention."

 

[Saltyk]

"All I meant is that I think my friend made the same device you are experimenting with, though she didn't mean to." Ryu explained to Edgar. He looks over to Royce.
Wow that man is pathetic. Even worse than many children I know. Worse than I was as a child, even...
He looks straight ahead, but addresses Bullet. "That's a good answer. Fearing that power is the same as hating it. And hating power simply because it exists is the wrong way to view it... Very wrong indeed. It's worse than the power that you fear..."

 

[Drakmorg]

Rozalin shivered as she felt the temperature drop. "How much longer until we reach the castle? I feel like I'm about to freeze out here." She complained aloud. Upon hearing Bullet and Ryu talking about 'Power', Rozalin's glyph from the night before manifested itself behind her back for a moment, it's circumference reaching her full height, then disappeared. How odd. I didn't summon Father's mark. Why did it do that?

She was snapped out of her musing as she heard Edgar and Balthier address her. "I...can't recall how I arrived here. All I remember is that suddenly I was being buffeted by sand as I found myself in this dreadful desert." Specifically addressing Edgar, she said, "I'm afraid I wouldn't know any of those values."

"I don't hate power, I hate how its being used without restraint. Unleashing something like that person is a bad idea in any case. Hell, he started to rip apart his own allies to prove his point." she started feeling cold, but then dismissed it.

"Are we there yet?" Bullet complained. One, she was getting tired and two Royce kept looking like a pathetic pile of poo.

 

[Chungus]

"Indeed... I thought I felt a drop in temperature all of us sudden. And here was I thinking it was to be blamed on having not eaten anything in over a day. Odd." Noticing the glyph manifesting behind Rozalin, Balthier cocked an eyebrow. "Speaking of odd. What was that mark that just appeared behind you?"

 

[Saltyk]

"Probably just the natural cold of the desert. It's actually best to travel in the dessert during the night, anyway." Ryu said to the others.
"Did you say something?" He asked Bullet.

 

[Slenn]

"I wish I could help you then. Who knows? Perhaps sometime you'll be able to find a clue. Part of the research for this machine I built came from the scholars in the castle's library who are naturals at studying and theorizing. Perhaps if you find something, they might be able to help you locate the coordinates."

The group reached the castle and the mechanical gates swung open with the hiss of steam vents, leading to the main hallway and two staircases leading to the left and right.

"For those of you looking for a place to stay, ladies to the upper left, gentlemen to the upper right."

 

[Saltyk]

"I suppose time will tell. Anyway where will you be sleeping, Edgar?" Ryu asked the man a bit suspiciously.

Happy that they finally reach Figaro Castle, Bullet smiled. "Yup. Classy. Thank you once again Edgar." she smiled at him before making her way towards the left staircase.

 

[DrChill]

[color="{skyblue}"]"Now that we have reached the castle perhaps we could introduce ourselves on our way to acquiring a heavy coat and a Gas Mask your Kingship?"[/color] The Doktor said as everyone split up at the staircase.

 

[Slenn]

"In my own quarters, Ryu. Upstairs next to the throne room."

"Once everyone's on their way, I can take you to the tool shop. The gas masks that come with the bio blasters should work fine. As for coats, there should be some leftover gear in the barracks."

"You're welcome, Miss Bullet."

Finally reaching the ladies room, she smiled. "But first a quick shower." she said to herself as she made a quick dash to the showers while stripping down. Entering the shower, she smiled, washing herself. "All that sand... Man, its annoying!"

 

[Saltyk]

"Very well, then. I suppose I'll go see about the room." Ryu said as he took the stairs to the right.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Oh, you mean this?" Rozalin said to Balthier, conjuring up the glyph once again, though this time in her hand and much smaller. "This is the Four Leaf Clover mark of Overlord Zenon. It symbolizes the bond I share with him, and proves that I am his daughter."
Dismissing the mark once again she spoke to Edgar. "I thank you for your hospitality once again. If I find some clue that can lead back home, I hope I can come to you for aid once again." She said with a polite curtsy. Then she headed off to the left staircase as well.
