I turn back around to Bryce. Now what could he possibly want? "It's for simply being the best. Of course there is someone better, but that's the point. To overcome that person and take his or her place. Because you need to prove that you are better at that profession; it's a gut feeling that you have. Demacian's would have called it something like a sport. Noxian motto is that only the strong survive. The weak are pushed down so then they can become stronger as well. It's simply how life is. There is the top of the food chain and the bottom of the food chain. Until animals, sentient beings can change between who's on top, and who's not."

I sighed. "It's not cruel or harsh, or an indicator of chaos. People step down when they truly know that they have been beaten. And they simply find a way to get themselves back to their original position."

Wasteful." Bryce shrugs. "Maybe my opinion is tainted by having to watch almost all of humanity die, but I doubt I'll ever understand your philosophy." Bryce starts heading for the door. "Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree."

I shrugged at the cowboy. "Believe what you will, but that's the society that I was born into. It was because of the Rune Wars we nearly destroyed all life on Runeterra. It's what forced our forefathers to become like that."

Walking towards the door as well, I sighed. "I didn't expect you to understand... Or even my own home to understand now..."

Aisha's ears perked up when Rex stopped and turned to her. "Aww... You're no fun." she giggled. Suddenly adapted a more serious tone she asked. "Practicing I see?"

Holly told Nem she was interested in explosions. "Really? Hmm...I think I may have something for you then." she said. She reached behind her back and brought out a small, glass bottle. "If you were to break this bottle open, it would make quite a bang. I think this is something you'd enjoy. Just be careful with it, okay?" she said as she placed the bottle securely in Holly's hands.

Echo saw all this and just rolled her eyes. Remembering all the gifts Nem had given her over time brought her mood up a bit, but she remembered the most recent "gift" she had gotten and stayed thoroughly angry.

Bryce shrugs, and leaves the inn, walking into the street and beginning his daily ritual of searching for Eve.

Caius frowned night unnoticeably when Yukino approached. Like dealing with this child was not irritating enough... "And I suppose simply asking what interest you is too much trouble?" he distant-mindedly remarked, adressing Majeh.

Seeing the person she had addressed earlier had spaced out or somethin, Yeul turned to Yukino, put on edge by her pressence.

Saber looked at Majeh "name's Saber i'm the guy that fell out of the sky not long ago, i came here because i have not nothing to do" he said

Majeh looks to Saber. "What kind of name is Saber? It sounds like your parents hated you when they named you. Couldn't they have at least given you a semi proper name?" He quips. "I'm Majeh. And how did you get through that shield around this city?"

He turns to face Caius. "Oh, but what would be the fun in that? Besides, I doubt you would be very forthcoming as to the nature of the Heart of Chaos, would you..." He replies, a serious look on his face, as he examines the man's face.

Yukino takes a look toward Caius, then looks back to Majeh with a :3 face. [color=bb66bb] "Uh... I think you read into yesterday a little too much." [/color] Looking back at Caius, she smiles. [color=bb66bb] "I hope he's not causing you too much trouble." [/color] Then turning to Saber, she frowns and points at him threateningly. [color=bb66bb] "You ignored me yesterday, you prick!" [/color]

Rex scratches his head a bit. [color=008888] "Yeah, trying to. And I only knew you were there because of... things..." [/color] His chain rattled a bit at this, but nothing more.

Just as I thought... I internally sighed at the cowboy leaving. Still as lost as ever. Am I truly fighting for the right thing? This is all that I know.

Exited outside, I saw Aisha talking with Rex. Great. What could that fox-lady be talking about now?

Aisha titled her head slightly and chuckled. "Oh well, perhaps I am getting alittle rusty then huh?"

"But beyond that... What's your opinion about these people here?"

"You would be correct in assuming such. The nature of the Heart of Chaos is no concern of yours." Caius answered Majeh, then looked towards Yukino. Don't think feighing friendliness will get you anywhere. You are still a threat. A moderately useful one, but a threat none the less... "No comment..."
