Bryce walked up to the roof, rifle on his back. When he saw Black, he walked next to her and sat down besides her. "You know, I don't know much about you. Which is strange, because I feel like I can say what underpants the others are wearing, they talk so much."

Everyone at the base began Morris Dancing. The base's forces began running drills in the parade ground to ensure they were prepared for anything.

Eve woke in the room that Bryce had shown her too after they had talked over their meal last night. She looked around taking in the dilapidated appearance of the hotel room and shuddered as she pulled her covers to her chin. After a few minutes she got up and used the still functioning shower in the bathroom.

Darwin sat silently in the foyer of the hotel where Bryce and Eve had left him last night. He looked down at the clothes he wore and sighed as he remembered the better times whence he had worn them before.

Black gave a small shrug to Bryce. "That's not a bad thing...there really isn't a lot to know..." She said to Bryce, then gave him a bit of a puzzled look. "Ooo....kay....then?...." She said slowly. Why would you even say to another what type of underwear they were wearing? Black thought to herself.

Holly continued to sleep next to Echo on the sofa.

"Sorry, little nervous. Attack today, and all that. Least, I think that's the plan. Just wanted to do something, before I roused the troops. Just, ignore me, okay?" Bryce bows his head, and begins muttering names, hands folded together, as if in prayer.

OoC @Nile: I liked the morris dancing scenario better.

Yeul and Caius returned to the appartment complex from a afternoon walk. Yeul sighed at the sorry state the city was in. Organic matter had covered several street blocks, making telling what had been there before next to imposible, and what buildings hadn't been consumed by the hive lay in shambles.

"It is a shame... Not a week ago, this was a nice place." Yeul remarked, still sounding relatively indiferent, although her facial expression looked somewhat morose.
"Why remain in a vile place such as this? Caius asked, holding his sword at his side should any infected attack.
"The catastrophy. Perhaps it can be avoided."

"Yeah...I'm not looking forward to that myself..." Black said to Bryce. "and I'm not going to just ignore you....that would be rude....and I have no intention of doing that..." she added.

Holly slowly woke up, she sat up yawning slightly.

Bryce nodded to Black. "Well thanks! Talk away, and I'll answer you as best I can." He closed his eyes, and began mumbling names again "Arianna, Scott, Rachel, Michael, Jose, Monty, Jaina..."

Rex lets out a loud yawn as he walks downstairs into the foyer of the apartment complex. Rubbing his eyes, he looks over at Darwin and gives him a lazy wave. [color=008888] "Yo... -yawn-... You're new here, right...?" [/color]

Yukino walks back toward the complex, humming to herself amidst the chaos of the city. Slashing through the infected really helped to improve her mood.

"Talk away....." Black repeated, then went silent. what do I say?...I'm really bad at socializing... She thought to herself, noticing Bryce was speaking several names she asked. "Are you praying for lost ones?"

 

[FPSfanatic]

Bryce looks up from his reverie. "Can't say that I am. Just remembering soldiers I led. Important that they aren't forgotten, especially by the man leading them." He continued his speech, quietly.

 

[Chungus]

As the duo reached the complex, Yeul sat down on a bench and began fiddling with her hair, trying to remove the flower she had woven into it several days earlier.

Caius stood next to the bench, holding the sword upside-down, placing the tip on the ground. After casting a glance at Yeul, he went to look over the surrounding area, frowning slightly upon seeing Yukino.

Darwin silently looked at Rex from beneath the highwayman's mask that obscured the top half of his face as he spoke to him.

Eve got out of the shower, dried and dressed herself before feeling nosy and decided to investigate the drawers of one of the chest of drawers in the room.

"I see..." Black said to Bryce. "So why were you leading them? as part of a team of soldiers?" she asked.

Holly left Echo to sleep quietly and wondered around.

Bryce nods. "Yeah, I led troops into battle. Hope that doesn't bother you." He finished his chant, and stood up. "Thanks Black. That was nice." He turns to head downstairs.

Rex just stares blankly back at the masked Darwin, waiting for an answer.

Yukino walks up toward Caius and gives him a little mischievous smirk before addressing both of them. [color=bb66bb] "Hey there, knight and princess. How are you two holding up?" [/color]

"Why would it? troops are led into battle everyday, It's something that just happens....it's not like I can stop it..." Black replied to Bryce. "And your welcome....anytime..." She added, staring out on the city.

 

[Chungus]

"Good afternoon. I am doing well." Yeul answered as she continued fiddling with her hair. Eventually, she managed to remove the flower and looked at it, holding it between her index finger and thumb. By now, it had all but withered, its previously vibrant red hue had turned a shade of brown. Sighing, she laid the dead flower on the ground.

"If Yeul is well, then so am I." Caius answered with a deadpan tone.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"Lets just say some anti war people don't mind shooting officers where I'm from. Now, lets get this show going." Bryce heads downstairs, knocking on every door of every floor as he goes, pausing for a few seconds each time.

Darwin continued to impassively return Rex's stare.

Eve was having a fruitless search as she inspected each of the chest's drawers however she didn't let that dampen her spirits or resolve as she began making more noise as she checked through the rest of the drawers.

"Yeah...Let's get this out of the way..." Black said to Bryce, then jumped off the edge and rolled as she landed, to impact the fall. No more waiting...this ends now... She thought to herself as she pulled her sword out and looked at it.

Holly came back from her wondering, eating some candy from her hoody pocket.
