[Random berk]

OOC: Last post. Do characters come back in after they're killed or do they have to wait til the round ends?

As Mercer and Rex faced each other down, Holly was dragged to the ground by minions, their clubs flailing wildly at her and throwing up strings of blood. She cried out desperately for help, but Mercer did not have time to react, nor would he have done so if he did.

Blondie didn't approach Yukino, as he was wary of the turret she was by. He started wondering how to deal with it.

@FPS: Just making sure the bases are covered. I won't steal your job anymore.
@Random: They just respawn after dying back at their base.

Seeing Yukino collapse, Yukimaru had no intention of letting her sit there and suffer. [color=01B7FF]Supposedly we come back when we die here...don't hold this against me Miss Yukino.[/color] She approached the edge of the turret range, then used her Shunsetsuza, dashing forward past Yukino and a number of incoming Noxian minions with her knife held out, delivering lightning quick slashes to those she passed. As she did, the turret started firing at her, hitting her in the back and knocking her to the ground as she just barely made it out of range to avoid a second hit.

Wishing to get some breathing room between the enemies and her sides turret, Rozalin summoned her mark, using a spell that had simply popped into her head a few moments ago. As she summoned her mark, Archie, herself, and the remaining minions were bathed in white sparkling lights. As they resumed attacking, Rozalin and her allies found they did more damage with their attacks, quickly tearing through the Demacian minions.

OOC: That was Rozalin's ability 'Kneel Before Me' (Not even making that name up). It increases allies ability to deal damage.

@FPS: Got it, I think... Also, double kill?

[color=008888] [small] "Tesla... Omega..." [/small] [/color]

Rex lets loose the charge stored into his gun into the ground and a colossal beam of red energy erupts, engulfing Mercer, all the minions, Holly, and Rex within it. The explosion rings throughout the map and anyone active will be able to see the vertical streak of energy from wherever they are. As it dissipates, Rex sighs as he emerges from the crater he created, waiting for another team of minions to advance after. [color=008888] "Hope that bet was worth losing, Mercer." [/color]

Yukino smiles as Yukimaru slashes her cleanly in the chest. As she falls down, she weakly calls out to the little ninja before getting respawned. [color=bb66bb] "Not bad! I guess I'm not as good as I thought~!" [/color] She closes her eyes and then opens them, returned to the Noxian base, back to normal. [color=bb66bb] I owe her quite a bit now... Time to make them pay! [/color]

Blondie continued wondering about what to do about the turret. Seeing Yuki get hit by it reenforced his need for caution.

Well, I need to call it a night. With Mercer defeated and Jensen already facing Archimedes and Rozalin again, I guess now is as good a time as any.

OoC: if You're bowing out @Berk I'd like to do something with Mercer. It won't kill him, only leave him with unpleasent memories. That okay?

OOC: uh... I guess so? I doubt Mercer would scare very easily.

Taric threw one of his light balls at Rozalin and backed a bit

Archimedes threw bombs at Jensen and took pot shots. "How do you like having pain inflicted upon you huh. How about you die"

The moment Mercer spawned, he would find himself far out in the jungle instead of in the spawn zone as he should be at. No matter where he looked, he would not be able to find any large living thing. A strange unsettling noise could be heard, echoing not far from him. nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom the noise went, quieting or growing more loud but never completely abating.

 

[Random berk]

Mercer readied his claws on hearing the sound around him, waiting patiently for the maker to show itself. It didn't really matter what it was. If it attacked, it would very soon become nothing but fresh biomass.

Jensen grinned as he took up a well covered position and began firing back at Archimedes with deadly accuracy, never presenting an easy target for the less experienced gunman.

"I've been doing this for a living for a long time, lab geek!" He shouted. "Why don't you just go back to your base and let the professionals do the fighting!"

OOC: It really does seem like there should be a lag before respawn to stop exactly this happening. Either that or all the characters should be similarly held up after dying, just to give it some kind of impact. Otherwise killing a player is no better than killing a mook. Anyway, I'm not going to hang around and try to continue, its far too late. Goodnight.

Yukino sighs as she turns around to face the scarecrow. [color=bb66bb] "Is that all I get? One life? ...Alright, I understand then.... Take me to wherever you need to." [/color] A tear trickles down her cheek for a moment as she looks up at the scarecrow, smiling sadly. [color=bb66bb] Looks like I've got quite a bit to learn.. even if I was handicapped here. [/color]

Rex starts walking after the next set of minions toward the damaged center turret.

Even if Mercer prepared himself, nothing could prepare him for a fully feasted cho'gath jumping out of the nearby bush. He was quickly set upon, knocked into the air and deafened by a vorpal scream. Before he was truly aware of what was going on, he was feasted upon, his body swallowed in one large gulp by him. The next respawn by Mercer would find him back on Troika, from where he had started the event.

"Oh no my dear, this is a test to see if you still belong! You have performed admirably throughout the entire affair, and stand on the cusp of becoming a champion for Noxus! All you need to do is defeat Fiddlesticks here, and you will take his home as your own to be a champion." the voice that had welcomed Yukino to the league spoke from thin air again. The scarecrow seemed to hear her words as well, as he pulled his sickle from behind his back and readied it, his macabre smile stretching itself. A single crow perched on his sickle.

The voice chimed in with a "Double kill! at the death of both Holly and Mercer.

OoC: Woops, made a booboo! Fiddlesticks wields a sickle, not a scythe. Still going to have to fight him though.
@Dot nice catch there, forgot about it for a bit. I would not be a good multiplayer caster.

@Random: Well normally there is a time before respawning. It tends to get longer as the game goes on, going from about ten seconds in the beginning to over a minute if someone dies late game. And then there's usually the trek one has to make to get back to their spot in lane, so death usually takes someone out of the action for at least a few minutes. Also, we aren't factoring in gold, but player characters are worth significantly more gold when killed then minions.

Yukimaru managed to get back up and hobbled her way into the forest to evade incoming enemy minions. After she did, she headed back to the Demacian base, thinking herself to not be in fighting shape any longer.

Rozalin was stunned once again by Taric's dazzling ball of light. After shaking it off, she found herself thoroughly irritated. She summoned Rose Thorns once again and started hosing down the battlefield with bullets, gunning down what few Demacian minions remained. Then she led the charge of the Noxian minions, firing at Taric whenever she got within range of him.

Yukino smiles as she draws her sword. [color=bb66bb] "This is new... I'm not exactly happy to fight something that doesn't bleed... but I'll manage." [/color] She slashes vertically toward the scarecrow, violet eyes intensely focused.

Rex follows after the minions again and wails on the turret with punches, bringing it close to destruction.

The scarecrow catches the blade in the sickles curved blade, twirling it so that the blade ended up pointing down and to the right of him. He then swung it so that the blade would cut up and through Yukino's chest, as his eyes began to glow an emerald hue. the crow flew off the blade and perched itself on his shoulder, seeming to ignore the movements it made as its wooden arms shifted impossibly to bring its strikes and parries to fruition. "You will find him quite the dangerous opponent miss Yukino! Be careful now!"

OoC: this is fiddlesticks.

Taric kept dogging Rozalin until she was next to the turret. Where he started hugging the turret waiting for his spells to get off their cool down

@FPS: The double kill was due to Rex eviserating Mercer and Holly in center lane. Yukino was killed by Yukimaru. (Yuki killed Yuki, oh god.)

Rex smirks as he drives one more charged punch into the turret as it crumbles. He switches his attention to another set of Noxian minions before he attempts to move up again.

Yukino smirks as she sways out of the way of Fiddlestick's slash, then brings her sword up to shove the scarecrow off balance. She then launches another explosive fireball right at him. [color=bb66bb] "BURN!" [/color]

Blondie decides to just wait and see what happens next.

With all but one champion missing from the top lane, the minions would simply kill each other, with the Demacian minions making it to the turret and getting gunned down again after Yukimaru put things in their favor by killing a few Noxian minions with her Shunsetsuza.

Yukimaru made it back to the Demacian base and sat down on the panel, breathing in deeply from her long limp back from the top lane.

Rozalin stayed back and let the Noxian minions assail the Demacian turret. She fired another Gaia Blast into the ground as she tried to wait out Taric.
