Sounds good, see you in a bit. replied Rita to Jessica. Rita was leaning against a rock scribbling some random thoughts into her book. Looking up at Loki she said "What's with you?"

Envy was not yanked forward. The chain was not really a metal chain, and was rather just a transformed version of his arm, which was ripped off when the giant tried to pull him forward. Envy fell back with a pained grunt as this happened. The chain and weapon would disintegrate. "Goddammit... so close! What the hell are you?" he asked the giant.

Persey smoked away.

OOC: Going to bed, goodnight.

 

[Chungus]

Loki stopped aimlessly wandering around when Rita spoke. "Days has it been since we last heard of this Envy. I have not the patience to idly sit around and wait like this. he answered with an agitated tone, turning to face Rita. "It goes to show, if you want something done properly do it yourself."

The giant armour seemed to look at the chain as it desintegrated. Looking back at Envy, it said nothing, or made any other sound that wasn't caused by movement. Raising its sword, the knight leapt at Envy, thrusting its blade at it, aiming to impale Envy.

With the knight dealing with Envy, the guard carrying Ardimas continued to run towards the palace.

From a balcony of the palace, Valentino watched and commanded his summon. "I'll see you crushed, you dog..." he angrily muttered to himself.

Ness scratched her head a bit before responding to Bryce. "I'm just going to go to Fourside to look for a key to open a set of temples. I can teleport both of us there... or you can follow at your own leisure."

 

[Furioso]

"Agreed. You probably should have enlightened him as well, for all we know he got bored and wandered off." replied Rita.

[hr]

Envy jumped and flipped backwards, landing gracefully on the coffin of the King. "Not the talkative type eh?"

 

[Drakmorg]

After a significant time spent wandering, Jessica eventually found Loki and Rita, only being able to do so thanks to the two of them standing outside their cave. She approached the mouth of the dragon's cave, brushing sticks and leaves off of herself that had accumulated on her person while she was wandering about. Probably should have asked for directions or something when I first got here.

Bryce shrugged. "Let me just grab my gear, and we can teleport. That good with you?"

 

[DotSlash]

Ness nodded a small bit. "Be quick about it, I'd like to make it there before things begin closing down."

Fox Yuki continued on toward Port Letosh.

Bryce nodded and headed into his room. He quickly holstered his revolver, and slipped a small alien pistol into a second holster. He pulled on his duster, and tipped his hat on to his head. Finally, he tucked a small doll into his pocket, its head and arms sticking out. He walked back out, and nodded to Ness. "Okay. All set."

Ness casually extended her hand toward Bryce in response. As he took it, the duo would find themselves near the city limits of Fourside. The fedora girl would begin to walk toward the city, making sure to keep a calm look toward the city to see if security was still as lax as it was before.

 

[Chungus]

"He quite posible did. Either that, or he proved to be grossly inapt." Hearing someone approach, Loki turned around to see Jessica. "Your errands have been completed, then?" he asked, still sounding annoyed, not helped by the perpetual headache he was feeling.

With Envy leaping away, the knight's rapier imbedded itself in the ground. It pulled the sword out as it looked at Envy. Lifted the sword overhead, the knight charged at Envy, moving over what debris was in its way with far greater agility then its size and bulk would suggest it capable of. When in range, the knight made a horizontal slash at it.

For the moment, what guards were still on the scene and alive stood by and watched the knight battle Envy as they formulated a new plan of attack.

Recovering from the blow she had sustained, Estella woke to the horrifying sight of the headless guard laying ontop of her. Gagging, she moved the body aside, doing her best to ignore the pain that simply moving caused. After taking a couple of deep breaths, Estella quickly assessed the injuries she had sustained from the rubble falling on her, doing so more hastily then she normally would due to the ongoing battle near her. When done, she began healing what bones had broken.

As she neared the Port, Yukino would find security was a great deal more heavy then it had been last time she was there. Since she was still some distance away, however, no one took much notice of her yet.
[hr]
Ness would find the level of security in Fourside was indeed still as lax as it had been.

 

[Furioso]

"Probably, I'd bet he's dead by now." said Rita before she looked up at Jessica. "Where did you go anyways?"

[hr]

Envy jumped over the blade, and all the way up to the roof of the church. Once there he turned and began to run, heading North.

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica walked up and stopped several feet from Loki, giving him a nod. "I pretty much already know the situation as well...I'm guessing that's what got you in a bad mood. So what are we doing? What's the next step?" She asked, brushing off a few leaves that had clung to her hair. "Uh, space, I think." She answered Rita. "I got a feeling that someone I knew was in trouble, so I went to go help."

Noting the massive security boost, Yuki decided to switch from her fox form to her red-haired disguise form. [color=bb66bb] Right... trying to learn about that clone, right? This might be too much work... this was the place I tried to blow up. [/color] After a little more deliberation, she began walking toward Granite Pass in her disguise form.

Ness continued on into Fourside, looking around to see if things were closing down again.

Bryce followed after Ness, humming a tune as he walked, following right behind her.

 

[Chungus]

"That is partially the reason." Loki answered Jessica. "But to get to the point. Since enlisting outside aid proved to be woefully ineffective, we are to do as we should have done to begin with and slay our targets ourselves. Before this, however, it would be beneficial to return to Shaintaio and see what the situation there is. This can be done under the pretence of 'reporting back after having searched the mainland for the base'."

Seeing it was making a run for it, the two guards worked together to raise an earthen wall infront of Envy, the wall being twice as tall as it was. The wall was also covered in spikes, each a inch long.

Missing, the knight slashed through the wall, leaving a deep gash it it. Turning around, the knight spawned two raven-like wings from its back, several feather faling down as this happened. Leaping up, the knight took to the skies, going through the hole Envy itself created. As it flew, it dashed at Envy, and when closed enough, dive-bombed downwards, aiming to crush it beneath the knight's foot.

Having healed what injuries kept her from fighting, Estelle stood up, somewhat shakily. Looking around, she spotted Envy going north, being chased by the knight, and ran towards them.

Ness would be in time to see government building being opened.

Ness sighed a bit happily as she made her way toward the government building.

[hr]

Yuki continued on toward Granite Pass in her disguise.

Bryce wanted to make a comment, but just followed Ness, tilting his hat down to cover his face and changing his face to look younger and hungier. "If they ask, I'm your bodyguard. Alright?"

 

[Furioso]

Rita raised an eyebrow at Jessica "...Space...?" she then stood up and addressed Loki. "Yea, that sounds like the best way to do things at this point."

A wall twice the size of Envy was nothing to him, and he easily cleared it in a single jump, avoiding the knight and landing in front of it and taking off to the east alongside the wall, looking for a secluded spot to duck into.
