As Loki pointed his scepter at some space, an small creature fell out of the trees above and landed on his head, laughing maniacally. Another of it's ilk ran out of the bushes.

Rita would find even the small amulet remarkably resilient. It would take more than heated tools to remove this material.

Tao sat back on her legs and waited for the rabbit to cook, drooling a bit as her tail wagged behind her.

"Fuck! Ah, shit that hurts! Well somebody shoot the damn dervish?!" Lyra called out, wrapping her hands around the arrow to remove it.
The drones continued their assault, spraying out large sweeping salvos to prevent further movement, trying to pin the attacker in place.

Adam took careful aim at the man's head.
"Should I kill him now, or just incapacitate him?" he growled.

OoC: Just realized I did it backwards, heating the tools would make them weak, woops!

Rita set the amulet down, and cast a small spell to start a fire in the amulet, where the jewel would go, attempting to weaken that area

The Rookie glanced at the man, then holstered his SMG. He took of his rucksack and pulled out a medkit, glancing at Lyra's arrow wound. He stopped her from taking the arrow out and gently placed a hand on her chest, trying to get her to relax.

"Oh, hello there Sir Sable. And yes, it was a fine." Jessica said to Sable with a smile as he addressed her. She cleared her throat as she prepared to answer his question. "Echo and I just need to get some clothing that is...better suited for the road first. Then we can all be on our way." She answered, pausing for a moment to think of the right wording and gesturing to the girl following behind her with her left arm. Noticing Thyme at the front desk she walked over and asked, "Excuse me sir, do you think you could tell me where to find a clothing store? The kind of place that would sell clothes that, uh, you wear while travelling?" She seemed slightly unsure of what exactly to even ask for.

As Rita cast a spell on the Amulet, the marks in it began to glow a light blue, and the flame grew stronger, but the amulet itself remained every bit as sturdy as before.

 

[Random berk]

The man cried out again as Dal'Sheed's bullet struck the knife, grazing his hand and sending th blade flying. He raised both hands and gestured upwards. As he did so, two fairly large trees suddenly uprooted themselves on either side of the road and drifted to his sides, before pointing themselves lengthwise at the group. Even now, the man's eyes were wide and bright with fear, and he was breathing fast and shallow. His body language was quite defensive. When Savranth addressed him he snarled wordlessly at him, but now there was less defiance in the sound, and more panic.

Cynane, for a lack of better course of action she could take, jumped down and ran to Lyra and the Rookie's side to help. She drew a green vial from her bandolier as she went.

Sable gave a nod to show that he understood, and he went out to wait outside the front door

Echo rocked on her heels as she let Jess do the talking.

Just as a creature fell from the trees above him, Loki took a swift step back, the tail of the creature brushing past his face.

"Unsightly creatures..." He grunted upon seeing the imps. "What is it you want? I have little patience for this nonsense." he then called out, tightening the grip on his scepter.

when the rabbit was cooked enough, Saya put half of the rabbit meat on a leaf then passed it to Tao and then dished the rest to herself. Saya quietly munched on her meal, taking a flask from her bag to have a drink of water.

Rita tossed the amulet into the fire and cast a quick, weak water spell over the fire to put it out. She let the amulet cool for a bit

 

[Random berk]

The man gave no sign that he recognised Dal'Sheed's command, and continued to levitate the tree trunks, still glancing all around the group in panic.

Cynane drew her knife as she dropped to one knee beside Lyra and the Rookie.
"I can get this out, but it'll hurt. Just stay still and I can seal it up nice and quick."

Lyra looked up, barely able to lift herself up. She took a few deep breaths, and realized that she could taste blood on her lips. She looked down, to spot that the arrow had punctured her lung. "Oh. That's. Uh. Bad, for sure." her hands fell from the arrow, and she reached down to find a medistick.

The drones stopped of their own accord, realizing the target had stopped moving. They still circled, but they had backed off slightly.

Tao ate the food in a flash and sighed with content. "So, why do you wear that bone had Strange person, meow?" she asked Saya.

 

[Saltyk]

"Stop attacking this man. He seems more scared than dangerous." Savranth said as he walked over to the others. "I can heal any minor wounds you have, so you need not worry about that."

"Well, ma'am there are plenty of shops you could go to. If you leave my Inn and head right, you just need to follow that road until you reach the storefronts." Thyme replied.
"Do you need anything else?"

The imps scurried away from Loki and their laughter could be heard in the trees.

"Perhaps this was unwise."

The water spell got bigger as it hit the amulet.
Seeing the fire out the giant Treant started to turn to leave.

The Rookie grabbed some local anesthesia from his medkit and applied it to the area where the arrow had entered. He then looked up at Cynane and nodded.
