The Rookie stayed on the ground, though his breathing had returned to normal. As his pistol lands beside him, he looks over at it before taking it. He then holstered it at his thigh.
(To Cynane: A clone is a person who is genetically identical to someone else. A copy, so to speak.)

The salesperson takes the card, and returns inside to swipe it. He then returns and give Vanessa the card, now with 250 Credits on it. "A pleasure doing business with you ma'am."

For a moment Tao was too shocked the this prospect for words. Then she looked at Lyra suspiciously. "How can Tao trust you? What if I wanted to see these places, meow?" she asked.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Makoto looked at Cynane. "I dunno about his world, but where I come from, a clone is a copy of someone." She tunred back to Jona, and saw the pistol. Her tone of voice softend. "Jona, he was scared. You know that feeling, don't you? Out there, all by yourself..." She walked towards him slowly.

Jessica shrugged at Savranth. "Not many is better than none at all. And if I don't really have any other options..." She simply trailed off there. "Anyway, seeing as how it looks like we'll be travelling the same way, I might as well stick around with you lot for the time being. I was hoping to see more of Legaia anyway." She paused for a moment before asking, "So when were you guys planning on heading out?"

Ness tips her hat in the shopkeeper's direction as she walks toward the car. "Likewise."
She starts the car up and begins to drive toward the hotel... and hopefully the group.

The Rookie looked up and grunted in the negative to Makoto, indicating that he wasn't scared.

OOC: @Kirke Did you notice the post last page, where some of Jona's thoughts were visible to Tophat? They were memories of the night when Order 66 was issued. When he was just a very young child in the temple.

"Probably whenever the others are ready. I'm more or less ready, though I would like a scabbard since I can't attack my sword to these clothes like I did my armor." Savranth replies. He looks for the others to see what they are up to and if they are ready to go.

Makoto looked at the Rookie. "Um... suprised then. My point is, you drew your gun on instinct, not actually to hurt anyone."

"Hey can I come with this annoying nacatal" She said placing his arm around Tao's shoulder. He than turned around to Blair "Have you tried putting on more clothes."

 

[Random berk]

Jona glared up at Makoto again, but his expression lost its edge when her voice softened, and he regarded her curiously. When she began to walk towards him he started to turn, as though to bring his swordtip between himself and her, but then caught himself and lowered the weapon, holding the point off to one side as he turned to her.

"A copy of someone... that doesn't clear much up. Why would he think that, and why would it make him so angry?" Cynane wondered.

"I suppose you'll just have to take my word for it, won't you? Until this conflict gets resolved, I can't take you there. Its a risk on your part, I'll admit. But the reward..." Lyra said in her best seductive voice, thinking Okay, she bought the bullshit. Now, just a bit more trickery...
Marcus meanwhile, went back to the hotel, with Xyleena tagging along.

The Rookie nodded, then looked over at Jona. He held out both hands, palms against Jona, in a classic "I mean no harm" gesture.

Blair bopped the Shape shifter on the head. "I'm getting real tired of you! SHUD UP!" She said to him.

Ness' car/truck skids to a stop near the hotel and she pokes her head out to wave at Marcus and Xyleena. "Yo! You two! Where is everyone else at? I got us a car for the trip to wherever we're headed next!"

 

[Kirke]

(To Cynane: Well, I caught a glimpse of some of his memories. They didn't make much sense to me, but there was a large amount of soldiers who were clad in identical white armour. They could have been clones and they killed what looked like his friends, or a cult or something.)
