@Furioso: Well my excuse is that I just rented it....And that now it's apparently still going to cost me $50 to get my hands on a copy, so I'm still not likely to play it again anytime soon.

Jessica began to draw more parallels in her mind as she continued listening to Rex. "Sorry if this is bring up traumatic experiences. But can I ask you to continue once again?" She said to Rex.
Hearing Savranth, she rolled her eyes to herself Great. More of this password stuff. Doubt it'll be as easy to get into this Solaris place as it was to get into Winterhorn. "I'm assuming the password is given out on a need-to-know basis." She replied to Savranth.
She noticed Dal'Sheed nearby paying more attention to her than she would like and began to feel slightly uncomfortable.

"Sure can." The droid began to hover, then moved towards the entrance of the mineshaft at a pace that could easily be outwalked. "As you can see, these things aren't build for speed..." Once it reached the shaft, it was shown that there was a downwards slope, with a lift built leading downwards. Since it hovered, the droid didn't need the lift and moved down the slope on its own. Eventually it reached the tunnel wich went onwards for a while, then turned a right, moving towards the place Rita had indicated. At first glance, nothing out of the ordinary could be seen.

Echo and Tao exit the hotel and start to walk around.

"Oh, I'm sure they tell it to everyone. Even those in Xiphatia. It probably runs on the honor system." Savranth replied dryly.
"Honestly, there's no telling who knows. Probably a Legaian officer... Then again, they may have it on lock-down due to the current circumstance..."

 

[Furioso]

"Keep looking around, there has to be something off about all of this..." Rita studied the screen, her years of experience working with tiny devices and examining trap filled ruins giving her an edge at picking out minute details.

Ness nods a bit as she looks over toward Charlotte. "It's good to hear that you're working toward the betterment of our race..." Unlike me... "Hopefully, she's not reliving something... too painful." She gives a little wave toward Echo as she exits the hotel.

Rex looks over at Sav and shrugs. "In the end, that's all we are. Meatbags that talk. I'm not saying to throw society out the window, I just find it interesting to see how people act once socitey crumbles. It happens to benefit me most of the time."

Turning back to Jess, he nods a bit. "Right... Before we... or I should really say Rozalin fought her, she tapped into our minds somehow. She brought up our greatest dreams and a bliss I thought I could only dream of at the time. Then, boom. Suddenly, I'm reliving my worst nightmare: the night I killed my parents." He gives out a small sad chuckle as he says this. "Made me want to kill myself for a moment. But after that mindfuckery, a demon I was carrying, her name was Erica, helped break me out of that spell and we ended up looking at the Disciple face-to-face. This Rozalin lady, I don't know what the Disciple did, but she turned from a kind-hearted girl to a full-fledged demon. They fought, nearly destroyed the airdeck, hell, probably would've destroyed the city completely if that man hadn't intervened... Obviously, Rozalin won, otherwise, neither me or Yukino would be alive right now. Might have been the 1st time I pissed my pants in fear."

Noel gave a shrug as Charlotte collapsed on the ground. "Oh my... I'll take care of this."

Noel nodded at Kyosuke as the two walked over, picked up Charlotte and hurried back into the hotel.

Echo waved back at Ness and walked over to her.

Tao wandered around town and found her way to the dinner. She smelled food and entered. Seeing some people she knew, she waved and approached them.

"Since the source of the poison has yet to be found, it is likely still in the stone. Perhaps look for crack through which the poison could escape." Loki commented.

Doing as Rita and Loki said, Eric made the droid look around more. It started with looking straight ahead of itself, then slowly looked around 360 degrees, looking slightly up and repeated the process once it did. For a while, noting showed up, until a fairly large crack in the rock could be seen slightly above the droid and to its left.

"There, that crack in the rock, is there a way to examine it further?"

"If that's the case, it'd probably be far more trouble than its worth for someone like me to even just try and get into someplace like that." Jessica replied to Savranth, sounding somewhat disappointed. She was taken aback by something that Rex had said, "You...never mind that thought. Not important right now. So what happened after that?"
Noticing Tao walk into the restaurant and walk over towards her table, she tried to make herself as small as possible. Oh God, not her again.

"I don't know. Personally, I think people should be seen as more than meat or sheep to herd..." Savranth replied to Rex.
Looking to Jessica. "Maybe you should ask a Legaian officer."

"Hi people! Oh, hi Scaredy Kaka, meow." Tao said to the group, then addressed Jess. Seeing she seemed scared, she frowned. "Don't be scared of me, Scaredy Kaka. I'm not gonna touch you, meow." she said.

Rex shakes his head toward Jessica. "That's really it. Ness came a few days after that and brought us out of there... Well, Yukino anyway. I hacked a jet and flew off... to look for something."

Rex nods toward Sav. "I don't like to think of people that way either. I just think that's how it is."

As Echo comes over, Ness smiles toward her. "How are doing, Echo? Good? Bad? Wanna punch something?"

"Doing good." Echo said with a casual shrug to Ness.

 

[Chungus]

"I supose we could cut away at the rock a bit further." Eric answered as the droid moved up towards the crack, then used the drill which with it was equiped to carefully drill away at the crack, making it larger. As the stone crumbled away, something came into view, but it was still to obscured to make out what. "Hmm. I think I see something there..." Eric switched from the drill to the laser to further cut away at the rock without the risk of damaging whatever it was the rock covered. Eventually, it was revealed. Lodged in the stone was a sphere, made of a silver-y metal.

"Well. This place is pretty busy today. Can I get you anything?" Felina asked Tao as she entered.

"What the hell is that thing? Is there a way to get a better look?" asked Rita, moving a bit closer to the screen

"Eh, might be worth a shot, under the right circumstances." Jessica relented to Savranth. Looking over at Tao and practically glaring at her, she simply replied, "You'd better."
Hearing that Rex was finished, she nodded at him. She reached over to her visor as it sat on the table and pressed another button, then picked the device up and stuck it back in her coat. "Thank you very much Rex. That was certainly helpful." She said to Rex with a nod. "So, what were you looking for?" She curiously asked.

Tao grinned and sat as close to Jess as she could. "Tao doesn't want you to be mad at me. Can I do something to make you not mad, meow?" she asked, looking sincere.
