Erica couldn't help but brightly smile upon seeing Sophia being impressed by Erica simply preparing a spell, enjoying the praise she recieved. "You're welcome." she said in reponce to Sophia word of gratitude, then chuckled. "Just don't ask me to become a full-time teacher." she jokingly added. "And yes. This amulet alows the wearer to travel between dimensions. Although this particular amulet is one that's part of a mass-produced series, it's design and magics are based of off the amulet the headmistress thr college I've been to has."

After Savranth and the other soldiers left, Nybeth sighed as he sat down on whatever was available to sit on. I doubt after his reaction to my previous attempts at getting these men to join his cause that boy will give me complete trust in this matter. He motioned for the Legaian soldier to sit down as well. "So tell me boy, what's your name, and why is it you fight?"

Sophia was mostly impressed by the shape and display of Erica's storm, most Xiphatian lightning was arcs, and never sat still like what she just saw. Sophia blushed a little from Erica's joke. "No I just meant, thanks for your offer. Maybe I could finally learn where I'm going wrong with my healing magic?" She joked herself.
"You should show that amulet to a woman named Jessica, she's really smart with stuff like that. She knows some teleport magic too." Sophia said as she continued to look at the amulet.

Lyra, once finished sketching the walls, pulled them back with the flick of a finger and began doodling inside, drawing a mini Tao in chains. She quickly gre bored, and drew the Tao running about, eating fish, and the last one, Tao tackling a well endowed girl. Lyra came out of her trance looking at this, and burst into laughter, falling off her stool. The laugh was coarse, but had the faintest strains of a melody.
Ness looked toward Jessica concerned. ...If I leave Tao to rot in there, I'll never live it down... I made a promise to her... but Jess... ...I can't make both of them happy, can I? The fedora girl rested her face in her hand, unable to look Jess in the eyes. "But she... I..."

Lyra pulled herself up, still chuckling. "I'm fine little one, fine. The old adult had a bit too much ale, is all. Don't worry about me." she pulled herself back into her seat, and sketched for pleasure now, drawing fantastic creatures and stylized ships, showing an eye for detail.
Trilby led Brooke into the Spice Rack, and looked around to see if Ness and Jessica were there.
"While on the subject of service, were you sucsesful in collecting the plants we need?" Loki asked Rita. When Fafnir reached the dragon den, Loki pulled back on the reins to make her stop, then climbed off.

Jessica suddenly sneezed as her ears began to twitch. "Excuse me." She said as she cleaned her face with one of the tissues that she still had left after stockpiling them from when she was sick. Her look of worry returned as she stepped a bit closer to Ness. "Please, just leave it. If you try and break her out, you'll just stir up trouble. A-And I don't want to see you get hurt over this." Especially not since it's my fault Tao's in jail to begin with. "So just leave it be....It's probably better this way anyhow."

"I would be grateful for anything when it comes to healing magic..." Sophia said, a little frustrated. "I have tried so hard to get it to work, but no matter how much I try it doesn't work. It's like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. I've learned a great deal from this school, but... well... it's hard to adapt to their methods." She continued.

Ness gritted her teeth a bit. "I know... But even if she did crash that ship, she didn't deserve to be shoved in there alone with no hope or anyone to support her..." She finally sighed a bit, defeated, before looking up toward Jess. "....I'll stop with my plans for breaking her out, but once this government watch on me is lifted, I'm going to at least visit her. If she's to rot in that prison, she should at least know someone cared about her. Is that alright?"

Lyra paused in her drawing, and considered. "I'm fine, though a little... Bitter sweet, I think is the right term. Miss some old friends I can never get back. They'd have loved it here, I think." she started drawing a young mans face, scarred terribly and with eyes replaced by metallic orbs, his hair military short. "yes, bittersweet. Doubt you can solve that one for me, could you?" her tone was wistful, as she continued adding details to the picture.
