Ness paused for a moment before shaking her head. "As much as I know she didn't deserve that and howmuch what you just said makes me fearful, I'm going to have to decline assisting you. I'm not fond of getting jailed... and neither will the people I'm travelling with."

Trilby nodded, as if that should have been obvious to him already. "Fair enough."

A Xiphatian soldier approaches Nybeth. "Excuse me, but one of the Legaian soldiers wants to speak to you."

Marcus twitched once more, wanting to make some noise, but subsided, glowering at his attire. Lyra nodded to Jess and waved her hand to encourage her to keep talking.

Ness sighs before nodding back to Trilby and stepping back a bit. If we weren't under suspicion, I'd help him... but the odds aren't looking all that good.

Nybeth was stirred from his thoughts when the Xiphatian soldier spoke to him. "I may as well oblige his request." He replied to the soldier, then waited for him to lead the way.

Noticing Lyra's gesture, Jessica continued. "Well, I was just thinking, since those guys are threatening to blow up the planet, that makes them enemies of Xiphatia and Legaia. If we could make the two nations actually see them as enemies, then they'd probably lend a hand in destroying that space-ship of theirs. Plus after both nations are done flexing in front of each other by showing off what they can do on a mutual enemy, they might be more open to peace talks." She explained. She glanced over at Marcus with concern before asking Lyra, "Is he gonna be alright? I didn't mean to hurt his feelings or anything..."

"hmm. That's actually a great idea. We'll have to provoke attacks on both nations, and that thing will be tough to take down. The vengeance-" Lyra was interrupted by Marcus breaking down into a crying jag, sobbing that "as- as if its not bad enough, *hiccup* Da called me a ******, now I'm a little fairy too..." he cried rubbing his eyes and trying to stop. Lyra immediately started rubbing his back, muttering nonsense words.

 

[Saltyk]

"Follow me." The soldier said, leading Nybeth to the Barracks. Inside, he went to the holding area and called for the soldier that wanted to see Nybeth. It was the private, Jason, from last night.

"I'll be outside." The soldier said leaving to room to leave Nybeth to speak with the soldier.

Envy continued to walk

Jessica became visibly uneasy as Marcus started crying. "Oh geez, I'm sorry! I didn't mean anything by it! I shouldn't have said anything! I'm just terrible with people!" She shouted out in apology as she held her hands up in front of her as a sort of defensive gesture.

Nybeth smirked a little as his guess on who had wanted to speak with him had been confirmed. After returning his expression to neutrality, he asked Jason, "So, what is it you want to say to me then, boy?"

"What you told me. That boy. He has the ability to use magic and technology doesn't he?" Jason asked.

Envy would find a lake at the foot of a mountain. Near the summit there is a small temple.

Envy curiously approached the temple

"shh marcus, we don't want the whole bar staring at us. Pull up a stool, there's a good lad..." Lyra sat Marcus down, who had subsided to sniffles. Lyra sat down, and tried to catch the bartender, saying to Jessica "it's okay Jess, he usually doesn't tell people that he's gay. Plays that card close to his chest. Lets just get a beer or two down him, calm him down, and then we can talk about taking down that ship."

Ness checked her pockets and still felt a decent amount of gold in there. She turned toward Marcus and Lyra, waving a bit "Hmm... Maybe we can find a bar around here then..."

Yukino continues her practice.

Before addressed Jason, Nybeth found a place in the room to sit down. "I've seen him carrying the same sort of weapon your lot does that his allies don't seem to. I cannot fathom why he would do so if he was incapable of using such a thing." Nybeth answered.

Jessica nodded solemnly at Lyra as she let her hands fall back down to her sides. Turning around to face Ness, she said to her, "You've been awful quiet to me. Something on your mind?"

Savranth walked about the base.

"I see... Did you know he came and offered us to aide his cause the other day? After healing several wounded soldiers?" Jason asked Nybeth.

As Envy approached the temple, he would see that it is very old, hundreds if not thousands of years old, and seems to be made of stone or something similar. Despite this, it had very few signs of actual damage.

Ness looked over at Jessica and scratched the back of her head a bit. "I've been quiet, hm? Sorry about that. The only thing that's bothering me is the fact that I've basically been forced to stay in this town. That's all."

Lyra was about to agree with Ness, before hearing Jessica's comment and quieting down, watching the two.
