"How am I suppose to prove that though, meow?" she asked Ness as she tried to follow her.

OoC: @Tribly: Except that he heard Tribly say "Damn". The only reason I allowed him to kill Athena is that I asked others who felt it was a valid kill. And why would Tribly really want to do this? He has no ties to this land? He has no motivation. No friends. If you try to argue he is friends with Vanessa, why would he also try to attack a place that she has no problem with? Why does he do anything?

Coming from a man who dies and respawns?

Loki hmm'd when he saw the number of personel stationed on the ship and grounds of the base. Such a number of people is difficult to avoid. But not imposible. Now... It is unlikely the plans of the attack would be found on the ship itself, so I will have to make my way into the building. O, joy. Flying Fafnir some distance away from the ship to a point where it Legaians were unlikely to thread, Loki landed Fafnir. Unmounting, he tied the reins to a bush. Although Fafnir would easily be able to uproot the bush, Loki hoped that tying down the reins would send the message for her to stay put. Once done, Loki headed towards the base, looking at the ground carefully as he went on the chance that there might be ground-based traps such as landmines.

Not taking any chances, Loki didn't dispel the cloak placed on Fafnir after he left.

"Truly? Why would that be, if I might ask?" Erica asked, tilting her had. Her curiousity matched by her concern for Sophia's sudden change in demeanor, she added, "You had a bad expirience using such a method, I take it?"

"Sorry sorry, maybe I should use whatever slang term the kids use nowadays..." He grumbled. "Yep, back in my day, we did honest forms of entertainment, things that didn't need to make your mind all screwy!"

"You could say that..." Sophia said, unable to really hide the troubles and guilt that came with the conversation. "I know that using it in that way would be... [sub]dangerous...[/sub]"

"Then, how can you prove that you didn't kill the guard?" The captain replied.

"Very well. I'll send you off with the machine. Why do you not have a rifle?" Richard asked Envy.

Loki would see no traps or anything to hinder his path. The terrain was rough, but it held to obvious traps.

"Well I lost it when fighting this thing. Took a while to bring it here, been without a weapon the whole time."

Yukino would sense nothing along the lines of a soul in the soldier.

The soldier was unable to parry Black's slash, and had its left arm cut clean off. Again, it showed no signs of pain, or even anything so minor as annoyance at having its arm cut off. The stump of what was left of its arm leaked the same foul smelling mix of embalming fluid and blood. It staggered back as she kicked it and stepped further back to put distance between her and itself. Placing the tip of its blade on the ground, it channeled Earth magic into it before sweeping it upwards, kicking up a large cloud of dirt that flew at Black to try and blind her. The soldier than charged forward and swung at her neck with its sword, aiming to try and decapitate her.

"Even if that were the case, and I'm not saying it is, like the man said, you've still done other bad things. And people have to be punished when they mess up." Jessica replied to Tao, then a few moments later sighed. ...Right? Noticing that Ness was leaving, she turned to follow after her.

Tao was only able to make moderately coherent replies as she started to weep openly.

Black's eyes widen as she saw the soldier's arm fly off. Is this what I have to do....to save these people....it's feels so...wrong... She thought in disgust, when the dust cloud was kicked up she did her best to see with her blazing eye. seeing the sword last minute, she ducked, taking a slice to the cheek. "Argh!" She snarled, then did a low kick to the soldier. "I'm done with this!" She said as she summoned her arm cannon and aimed it at the soldier. "Back down, while you still can" She said, being very serious. "And whoever is also out there better back down too" She said to the other figure she sentenced. (Yukino).

The boy held his head a little. "There is nothing wrong with my Mind!" He said to The Old Man, sounding a little distressed. "Ok? I find entertainment in other ways....I just like the look of fire is all!" he added, holding his head slightly with his left hand.

Ness sighed a bit before turning back to Tao as she put her hand on the door. "I would try to prove your innocence, but sadly, I'm not good with forensics or anything of the like. And you still need to answer for the other things that have happened. I'm sorry, Tao." With that, she walked outside and looked up at the stars.

...I still don't feel right... but I don't have anything else to act on.

Yuki gripped her sword and gritted her teeth a bit as she began to walk closer to the fight. Her ears perked up a bit as Black addressed her. [color=bb66bb] "Don't worry about me, just spectating. Although your opponent doesn't seem to have a soul..." [/color]

Unfortunately for the not boy but mysterious man of 19 years old, he had gotten the old man into a state of what I like to call, 'memory looping'.

"You know back in my day, people didn't have those fancy shmancy watches that had lasers in them! If you wanted a laser you'd need to get one out yourself! Made them out of them fancy ruby ones I think? Or was that galium... Oh who am I kidding I'm not a chemist!" He started talking to himself.

His path unhindered, Loki quickly made his way towards the base, completely undectable. Even branches or leaves that would normally crunch beneath one's feet were silenced. Moving along the wall of the base, Loki made his way towards the gate, and once there, teleported onto the grounds of the base, but still near the gate. Making his way towards the main building, moving along the wall once more to minimize the chance of bumping into anyone, he looked for any signs that could give him directions.

"Well then..." Erica began, fighting her inquisitive nature, not wanting to pry further into the mater, despite being curious about it. "Forgot I made mention of it. Well then, perhaps you should try channeling your magic at random, but still focusing on healing an imaginary injury. If you work this way, you might get a better understanding of what does and does not work through trial and error. Sometimes, the best results come from little more then luck, after all."

"I think so... I'm going to go investigate..." Savranth says running off.

Soldiers took Tao's arms and started to lead her away.

"If that's so, how would you trick Xiphatians into helping you? Wouldn't they not trust you based on the rifle?" Richard asked Envy.

Grace follows Savranth, "I'm coming too!" she says.

Envy smirked "That's the beauty of it. The vast majority of the group were people like me, from another dimension. It was easy to convince them that I had to take the rifle from a dead soldier in order to defend myself, since I can't use magic or any of that. That said, be cautious. The majority of them have joined Xiphatia, and while they may not be the smartest group, they have some powerful abilities."

The boy grit his teeth as his head started acting up. "Well, I'm off Old Timer, thanks for the information!" He said as she begun to walk away. "and...take care of yourself ok....otherwise your hear from me" He added then walked further into the city.

The soldier was tripped by Black's kick and fell over onto the ground. In continuing with its unreasonable nature, it swung its sword at Black's shins while laying on the ground, seeming to either ignore or not care about Black's massive cannon being pointed directly at it.

Seeing that Ness was obviously in a down mood, Jessica put her left hand on the fedora-clad girl's shoulder. "You did the right thing. Now you don't have to worry about being thrown in prison." She said reassuringly.

Tao didn't really struggle at all. She just cried as she was dragged away.

"Now that was good." Marston said as he finished his meal.

"Alright... I'll try." She said as she partially dispelled the brown orb, seemingly trying to reform it and trying to get it to follow along with what she was thinking. She still looked a little troubled though.
