Ness scratched the back of her head as she looked outside. "...Woah. How'd I sleep for so long...?" She turned toward Grace and raised an eyebrow. "...I don't remember teleporting along with you... How'd you get here...?" She continued to look outside for the moment.

"Forced to fight is never good, but we have the chance to save many lives.....even if that does mean getting rid of some...." Black replied to Marston, then clinched her left hand into a fist. I have to control my emotions during this fight, otherwise it could all go wrong...

A small transport, about the size of a small sport utility vehicle approaches the gate. It almost looks to be made of stone, but it obviously isn't. The lower section glows with a gentle blue hue as the vehicle floats off the ground. "Your transport has arrived Mr. Tanner."

Jessica began nervously rubbing her right sleeve as she heard about Grace having apparently been in her room the entire previous night. Using her left arm, she reached down under her shirt and took out the necklace Savranth had given her, holding the pendant up in her hand. "I don't know. I asked Savranth about Lyra and he apparently doesn't know where she is. He gave me this necklace so he could contact me, but I haven't heard back from him about anything. So basically I've got nothing." She said to Ness.

"Thanks, sir. You can call me corporal if you prefer." I say as I get into the transport. I'm a little wary of depending on magic, but I don't have a lot of choice. I tell my driver how to get my ship.
"That's probably a good way of avoiding it for now" Black replied. "but we can't hiding from the facts forever you know" She said to Marston, as she looked over the horizon.
"Yeah. Taking advice from me for coping with things like this isn't a good idea." Marston said to Black, still pretty grimly.
Ness put her hand to her chin. "I still have this altimeter... I'll try to see if I can contact Ms. Lyra before we attempt to teleport near her." Turning to Grace, Ness explained. "There was an altar related to a religious cult long ago. Apparently, that cult was researching a way to bond both magic and technology together, which is desperately needed to end this war and stop future ones from arising. There's another altar near Forward Base that I'd like to open... but we need a key of some sort first."
