Yuki shrugged before walked into the forest and curled up into a ball. [color=bb66bb] "That's better than nothing, I guess. To be honest, it would be nice if you could get them to send me back here as well. This place suits me better than the mainland." [/color]

Ness followed Lyra and paid for rooms. Turning to Jessica, she nodded a bit at her idea. "He may be held up in the wars... but it doesn't exactly hurt to ask him." She took out Four's book and began to read from where she left off.

"Very well. Hopefully, I'll see you soon." Persephone said as she was blown away again.

OOC: Goodnight.

"I truly do not know, but I am as displeased to learn of this as you are..." Loki answered Rita. Pulling back on the reins more, he made Fafnir land, the dragon snapping some branches as she descended. Once on the ground, Loki unmounted. "However, I have no intentions of letting all the time and effort we put into making these bombs go to waste. If the ship has left, then I shall simply have them planted in the base itself. For now, however, I suggest we make camp here. I took the liberty of masking our pressence, so none shall find us. Making a campfire is ill-advised, however." he remarked, speaking to Rita and Nybeth both.

Once Erica saw Ness manifest Four's autobiography, Erica's eyes widened slightly as she said, "Oh! I keep forgetting I have that book too." Reaching into her satchel, Erica retrieved the book and began skimming through the pages, not remembering where exactly she had left off last time. "Where did that book come from, however?" she asked Ness.

"Eh?!" Was all that Nybeth could manage to come up with in response to the news Loki delivered, as he was hanging onto the saddle as tightly as he could manage. Once the dragon landed, he climbed off as quickly as he could. He managed to stay upright, but had a hard time of it as his legs seemed incredibly unsteady. He would be more disappointed by the news of the ship leaving and his work being rendered mostly for not if it weren't for him still getting over the dragon flight.

Jessica nodded back to Ness. "I'll check with him about it soon. Maybe he'll have found a picture of someplace in Shantaio in the meantime." Hearing Erica's question, she turned to her and said, "I gave it to her. Just like I gave you that copy. If you compare the two, you'll see they're the same print edition."

 

[Furioso]

"Ugh, well whatever, this pisses me off." said Rita

Ness blinked for a moment before locking the door to the room and digistructing her light sniper out of her belt. The pixels flowed into her hand as she displayed how it worked before sending the sniper back into the belt. "...I can store things in my belt and PDA and take them back out like this. Think of it as a large invisible bag."

The fedora girl nodded toward Jessica before lying herself down on the bed, hands laced behind her head and fedora off. She gave out a light yawn. "We could probably look for a postcard of Shaintaio in this town.. maybe.."

As Persephone left, Yuki sighed in relief before going to sleep.

"As it does me. But fear not, as I said, I have no intentions of having our work go to waste. Far from it. Even if the gas would fail to kill the entire staff of the base there, then we will end whoever is still amongst the living using the more conventional methods." Loki said to Rita as he sat down against a tree. Looking to Nybeth who was stumbling around, he asked, "Are you quite alright?"

Fafnir snorted, reliefed that the trio she carried had climbed off. She laid down, curling up.

"That wasn't exactly what I meant. What I meant was how did she seemingly pull the book from thin air." Erica said to Jessica. Sitting down on an unoccupied bed, Erica looked to Ness. Although she didn't know what a PDA was, she understood the concept perfectly. "I see. So it's a bit like my satchel then. My satchel can hold nearly an infinite amount of objects, the only limit being the weight I am able to carry."

Valentine also laid down on a bed, her fingers laced together behind her head.

Nybeth regained his composure with a huff. "I've simply never ridden on the back of such a beast before. It is...quite unsettling."

"That might work. We'd have to know for certain whether it's recent enough to use as a base for what the town actually looks like though." Jessica replied to Ness. After hearing Ness' reply to Erica, and Erica's reply to her, she realized she had made a mistake. "Oh, I'm sorry. Never mind my presumptuous ramblings then." Seeing everyone else taking a load off, she took a seat on the couch.

Rita found some ground to lay a sleeping mat on "Yea well hopefully nothing wrong happens at the base then." she said as she went to sleep

Ness nodded toward Jessica before her eyes widened a bit at Erica's explanation. "I see. My belt is limited to 30 items, while my other device is limited to 200 or so. I didn't think that another magic equivalent to my devices existed." She yawned loudly as she took of her earrings and digitized them as well. "Good night everyone. Let's get our job done tomorrow."

"Oh? I think it is quite a thrill. She is a steed fit for a king." Loki said to Nybeth, looking over to Fafnir, who had her eyes closed. I only wish she would obey commands better.

"Well, I wouldn't quite call it a equivalent, as I would think they do differ quite a bit. Either way, good night, Miss..." Erica began, trailing off near the end, once more unable to remember Ness' name. Hurriedly, she reached into her satchel and retrieved her notebook, flipping through the pages. "Vanessa. Good night, Miss Vanessa." she finished, looking quite embarassed. Looking to Jessica, she forced a smile. "Oh, it's nothing to worry yourself over. Oh, by the way, would you mind if we were to pick up on the conversation we had when we were at my home?"

"I suppose it is best that you ride such a thing then." Nybeth said in reply to Loki. "I prefer my own method of flight however. Not having wings of my own in the middle of the sky is more terrifying than exhilarating."

Jessica leaned back in her seat a bit more, which was really just slumping down instead of trying to lean the entire couch back. "If you would remind me of what we were talking about, then sure." She replied to Erica, having her own particular failure of memory occurring.

"Your own method of flight?" Loki asked curiously, looking back to Nybeth. "What method would this be, then? I know of no human capable of independant flight."

"Umm..." Erica began, biting on her lower lip slightly, trying her hardest to remember what the conversation was about, and failing at it. After a minute, she shook her head. "I'm not the best person to ask to refresh one's memory, I'm afraid... I can only remember that we had talked, but not what. [sub]Annoying...[/sub]"

"I have a spell that allows me to take on the shape of a crow. It makes for easy transportation, as well as a quick method of escape from unnecessary conflict." Nybeth explained to Loki. "However, flight is not uncommon for humans where I come from, even without the aid of spells. There is a race called the Winged who, as you might guess, are born with wings large enough to allow them to fly."

Jessica wracked her brain a little harder. "I can remember that at one point we were talking about my family. Or maybe you were talking about that time we spoke about that memory issue of yours?" She replied to Erica.

"I see. Interesting. There exsists no such spell from whence I came, otherwise I would at least have heard of during my extensive studies. I wonder if it were posible for me to learn this spell you know use." Loki commented, then paused. "As for the other matter, there you said it. Those capable of independant flight are not human, but Winged, which is a truly unimaginative name, I might add."

Erica hmm'd a softly, but otherwise remained silent. "I think... we were talking about your family. But both subjects are something I wouldn't object to talking about. Or if you prefer, we can just as easily talk about something else entirely." she finally answered with a slight chuckle.

OoC @Drakmorg: I just noticed how similar the text colour of our characters are. Quite the coincidence.

@Nailik: Thank goodness Silver isn't here, otherwise he'd be insisting that they get their respective mack on right about neow.

Nybeth began stroking his beard at Loki's comment. "It may be possible for you to learn the spell, were I to have a spare grimoire for it. I shall have to check." He closed his eyes and sighed at Loki's second comment. "Twas not I who thought up the name. Though the name does let one know what to expect, so it is not wholly without merit."

Jessica shifted her position on the couch to one where she was laying down, resting he head where one normally rests their arms. "Well, I still don't have any laboratory equipment with me, so talking about the latter subject won't get us anywhere." She said. "I guess we can talk about my family. Who did you want to know more about?...I've got a mother, father, and two siblings."

Since I hadn't used Sophia in... 4 days... she was *cough* working on a couple of things. Currently in the upper study tower like one other previous time she was watching the fire crackle as she hummed along as she did her work.

"I did not suggest you did. Either way, the name tells not all there is to know about the species. it could in fact be argued that it is in fact somewhat misleading. Upin hearing the name 'Winged', the first thing that springs to mind is not a race of winged humanoids, but rather some manner of avian. Not that it matters one way or they other."

Seeing Jessica lay down, Erica decided to do the same. She took of her boots, untied the belt from which her satchel hung and slipped beneath the bedsheets. There, she took off her trousers and dress, slipping these in the satchel, which she dropped besides the bed. "Tell me about your parrents then." Erica answered Jessica.

Nybeth simply nodded along with what Loki said, not really having anything to add or argue.

Jessica lazily slipped off her shoes with her feet, leaving the rest of her clothes on as she intended to sleep on the couch and maintain an acceptable level of decency.. "Well, Mom's a Feline like me, obviously. She was born and raised in the city, same as me. She works for the Department of Trans-Dimentional Travel Services, or as we call it, the DTDTS." She sighed as she glanced up at the ceiling for a few moments. "Dad's a human she met one day around...30 years ago, I think? 31 maybe? [sub]Shoot, did I forget their anniversary?...[/sub] I don't remember a lot of specifics about how they met. They haven't told that story in over 15 years."
