The fox seemed to nod in response to Black's question and wriggled out of her grip, falling on the ground and growing in size a bit as she landed. She turned her nose up and sniffed the air a few times. Eventually, she seemed to pick up on something and made a tilting motion with her head, telling the duo with her to follow. She began to run at a brisk pace toward Rockbyrd.

Ness handed Lyra the syringe and sat down, her head down a bit. "Well... even if it's the way things are operated... I... I didn't want to kill him..." She clutched her head a bit. "I know that I've... killed people before... but I've never done it so up close or seen their eyes... I killed him in front of his family... I feel like some sort of serial killer now..."

Blow a near silent but exasperated sigh, Loki looked back at Garzic. "There were, in fact, four bases built on the Wild Lands, including the one we neutralised. All personel together could have made up the bulk of the attack force sent here. If you wish it, I can see to it that they too would be taken out of the equation." All the while bolstering the numbers of my own army. Loki answered, hiding his anger at the royals quite well. "And, if I might make a suggestion?"

Nybeth was still back at his cave, doing work on his zombies. He had quite a lot of work to be done, so he'd likely remain there until he either heard from Loki again or caught wind of Xiphatia moving out once more.

Lyra nodded as Ness spoke, measuring out the drug. she inserted it into her arm, and winced as a black color began crawling up her veins, being visible against her pale arms. She gasped for air as it crawled across her face, into her eyes, and over her forehead, fingers scrabbling for anything to hold. Despite all of this, she didn't make a noise as her body revolted.

Ness jolted out of her self-pity as she noticed Lyra beginning to flail. She tried to hold Lyra, eyes wide with shock. "No.... nononono.... Not like this!! Lyra! Stay with me!!" Ness started to panic a bit as she held to convulsing Reed.

The fox turned a sharp corner at the 4-way sign, now running toward Rockbyrd. Now sniffing something else... it began to move faster with a sense of urgency. [color=bb66bb] I smell a body... [/color]

Lyra's hand gripped Ness, and Lyra let out a grunt, saying "I'm fine, fine, just hold on, please, just wait a second." she closed her eyes and leaned forward, other hand gripping both sides of her head. After a minute or two of this stance, she fell forward onto her hands and knees and began vomiting a viscous black substance, trying desperately to breathe in between surges.

Ness backdashed quickly, managing to barely avoid getting the black substance splattered on her. As she stepped back, Yuki-fox hopped up and stood on the fedora girl. It turned back toward Persey and Black. [color=bb66bb] "Yip!" (Am I good or am I good?) [/color]

Ness was still too worried and anxious due to Lyra to notice the muse or girl coming up toward her at the moment.
