Yuki got even more red faced (if that was even possible by this point) at what Persephone had said. She stuttered and mumbled unintelligible things.

Wiping away her tears, Ness got up and looked at her damaged clothing. Here I am in the capital... sitting in a gutter somewhere... Let's just find a new set of clothes somewhere... as long as they actually let me in a store... Seeing as Jess and Grace got to meet the King, I don't see why I can't make myself a little more presentable once they get out...

She began to look around Shaintaio for a clothing store of some sort, remembering seeing Jessica in some newer looking clothing.

The predator communicating with envy clicked, and reached out to grab her shoulder.

Grace 'wheeled' Jessica into the audience chamber along with Savranth. She didn't kneel on account of not being able to do so at the moment, and hoped that the King wouldn't make a big deal out of that. Hearing that he was saying something about tasks, she thought to herself Probably best to do what he asks. I doubt he'll just answer our questions if we ask right now. She waited to let Savranth answer the King, as she didn't think she would seem impressive in her current condition.

"This man and perhaps these others are the ones I would like to accompany you." Garzic explained. "They should be able to help you, should you find it and confirm the forces, there."

"Your liege?" Wait... What is this about? Does he want us to go after...

Persephone laughed musically and patted Yukino's head.

Rita kept up her silence, though she didn't want to, but she didn't want to speak out of place, which would make her master look bad by proxy.

The predator sighed, and then gestured to herself in a come here style, and took a few steps down the cliff face toward the settlement, before turning to watch Envy.

Lyra sighed. "you two done yet? We've got shit to do, and I'd like to get it done."

"What I am wondering is, however, why would we require help, when all we need to is report back upon finding this base? This sounds like a simple enough task. Simple enough for even a single person to complete." Loki asked, looking back to Garzic.

Jessica cleared her throat and focused her voice. She managed to get her volume back up to normal speaking levels, though it was about as strenuous on her throat as shouting normally would be. "What would we be having to do...your highness?" She asked the King, adding on the last two words a bit hastily as she had heard Savranth using them.

"And what makes you put it like that?" Persephone asked all smilingly.

"Oh! Terribly sorry." she said to Lyra.

 

[Saltyk]

"But, I believe these people could make the task easier." Garzic replied.

"Sire, are you suggesting we find the fleet that just left?" Savranth asked.

"Yes. We can't allow them to attack again. Dealing with this fleet would free up our army to deal with the force that General Hawking is battling on the continent and attack the Legaian cities." He looked to Jessica. "Find the enemies fleet and tell us how many ships they have. We'll deal with them in their hole afterwards."

Amalia's face became a little twisted with a expression of disgust, looking at Jessica. A beastkin... How drool... Putting on a rather sweet tone she spoke. "I do hope you're okay, dear."

"You should know that won't go over well. Our people aren't exactly fond of technology." Tiberius said holding up his hand.

The predator walked into the base, weaving past construction workers and soldiers, stopping at a slightly larger tent and pulling the flap aside, gesturing forward for Envy to enter.

Lyra began the walk to Lakewest, yawning as they moved. "We're hunting for a man named Chafla. He claims to have a key the former governer or whatever of Rockbyrd was after. We suspect it opens up a temple somewhere at Rockbyrd, which is hudden from prying eyes. Chafla seems to be a certified loon, and the only other way to get the key is killing multiple creatures as a favor to him. Therefore, violence, while not appreciated, will be considered acceptable. Any questions?"

Turning to Lyra, Yuki thought back to the unopenable door she'd found with Envy. [color=bb66bb] So it was that door wasn't it? Interesting... "So we're just raiding this guy's stuff? I can transform and cloak, so that really shouldn't be a problem in any sense. Any idea what the thing looks like? Did Fedora bother to tell you?" [/color]
