"Damn straight, mack!" came a delayed reply after another round of shots and other body dropping. Jensen sounded to be fine and even enjoying himself.

As Axton reloaded, he'd noticed another glint as another dagger flew in his direction, from his right. He might see the first bandit had begun to move toward the alleyways.

After a while of searching and talking, Amelia and Gideon exited the job center with the sheepgirl having a few job offers in her hands. She seemed to be most excited about a cooking job that was posted. By whimsy, she had also taken a offer printed on red paper, denoting running some light errands in exchange for magic lessons.

Axton was hoping he could finish off these people before his shields were completely depleted, so he started firing to his right.

Bruce would do fairly well on the tests, if a tad weak on knowledge of the human body. He knew exactly where to aim for the desired effects, but without a formal education he did not know the names of some of the more obscure organs. He also had difficulty writing with his writing being difficult to read and containing a fair number of spelling mistakes. His answers to the common sense questions were very survival oriented. For example, he'd pick the pistol even for a non-lethal bounty, his justification being that he wouldn't trust the taser to drop the bounty in a life or death situation. If it wasn't life or death, a whack over the head would knock the bounty out.

The first set of targets he'd shoot using his bolt-action rifle and while he hit the target nearly every time, he hit the bullseye much less. He also grumbled something about waste of ammunition. When he was offered a revolver, he declined it and pulled out his own, a rather scrappy thing made from grey iron. These shots were much less accurate at range, but kept the same accuracy at short range. Bruce explained that he used his rifle at range instead of his revolver, and often closed into melee to conserve ammo.

Rifle shots, in tenths: Misses: 1/10, Hits (Inaccurate): 2/10, Hits (Accurate): 5/10, Bullseye: 2/10

Revolver shots, in tenths: Misses 2/10 Hits (Inaccurate): 3/10, Hits (Accurate): 4/10, Bullseye: 1/10

OoC: Sorry for disappearing last night, my phone ran out of battery power.

The secretary looked over the results and nodded to herself before looking over to Bruce. "Alright, looks like you stack up pretty well. I'll need to make a few calls though to get you a trainer though. Just a moment. You should go ahead and pick up a bounty while you wait. Since your gear isn't exactly high-grade, you don't need to worry yourself too much about going into magic districts. Just be sure to keep your gear maintained." The secretary pointed back to the board with myriads of faces and rewards marked everywhere along with the district the bounty was likely to be in.

After a while on the phone and a bit longer waiting, the door to the bounty office opened as a man in a hoodie walked into the room and waved to Bruce. "Yo. Big guy in the armor. Bruce, right? I'm Jeff, your trainer. The secretary already filled me in." The man's voice was gravelly and emotionless. His skin was gray, his eyes gold. His overall appearance showed he at least had decent hygience, a simple hoodie and jeans with two pistols holstered on his hip and a shotgun strapped on his back. "So you found something to work on right?"
As he fired to his right, Axton would hear a body drop and an inhuman groan accompanied with it. Three daggers flew from all sides of Axton as the bandits kept up their assault.

Bruce nodded in agreement, as from his point of view his armour was rather old-fashioned and simple. It was beyond our own armour technology though, it was both quite light and practically bulletproof to the point of a .50 calibre round probably only making large dent in it. He checked the bounty board and looked over it until he heard his name called, he then took one at random and headed over to Jeff.
"'Ello, mate." Bruce extended his hand to shake and then handed over the bounty letter he had picked. "This one here seems as bonzer as any I figure."
OoC: Bruce isn't that large. He's maybe 170 cm, though his armour is quite bulky.

@Outis: Just gonna keep ignoring those daggers, huh? I'm just gonna start assuming they hit hard if you do.

"Great to see you don't waste time. Think we'll have a good time working together." Jeff gave Bruce a simple nod as he looked over the poster. "Looks like it's a band of rouge mages, specializing in fire magic. You don't know magic, right?" The man asked as he slowly moved to the door to get themselves moving.
The bandits kept to the darkness of the alleyways, not stepping out, but shifting positions when they could. Unless Axton had something to see in the dark, it would be hard to see another target though the telltale sounds of movement and flapping cloth would give him an area to spray toward. Another set of daggers flew out at him from behind, in front and to the left. He'd see the glint of the gun from the front.

OOC: @Dot: Shields are meant to take a lot of abuse, but I was going to have it give out here anyway.

The knife heading for Axton's back was deflected, but that was also the last his shields could take, so he was stabbed in the side and in the front. Unless the daggers went especially deep or were especially large, Axton would deal with them reasonably well. He stood and ran toward the nearest alleyway where he thought one of his attackers might have been, getting ready to use his tomahawk if need be.

"Nah. If it wasn't for what I saw on the way here, I'd say you were absolutely bonkers. Still pretty sure I hit a rock and am passed out somewhere in the desert. But I figure on the off chance that I aint delusional, I better just accept all this fantasy jimbo. Me car's just outside, we can use that ta get there yeah? "

"You managed t'get a decent amount'f job offers there. Bound to land one now." Gideon commented as he walked out of the job center after Amelia, having his left hand in his pocket, and holding his phone in the right as he was about to bring up the map. "Out'f the lot'f them, which one do you hope t'get most?"

When scratched behind the ear more, Gazimon bit his lip a bit more, not find of the feeling of the gloves hand as opposed to his long nails, but was at least glad that there grains of sand that were irritating him were being moved. "Yeah, whatever." Gazimon responded with a huff. When asked to brace his feet, he looked down to the ground, and complied.

As Axton ran in, the sound of flapping cloth would lessen a bit, though it would be obvious that the bandits were still moving around him. The alleyway was rather dark and the dark color of the cloaks made it harder to see in the area. One bandit chuckled in a low, raspy voice. "Really now? Ya think ya can just walk in here to take us on? Listen, we'll let ya go if ya just drop ya cash here and now. We already lost some o' tha crew, we don' want ta lose more."
Jeff chuckled softly as he nodded in response to Bruce's question. "Lead the way. I'll guide you to the district, turn by turn." He continued walking behind Bruce, moving a bit slowly. "Yeah... this place is more than a little crazy. Took me a damn long time to get used to everything."
Amelia smiled as she looked back up to Gideon. "I'm really hoping to get the cooking job... m-more than anything. I loved to cook back at home a-and people seemed to like my cooking a lot, so hopefully it'll all work out well. That or this... 'errands' job. I-I would mind running from place to place and getting used to the city. The magic lessons w-would be really nice too... almost like travelling a-abroad." She said, looking the papers over.

The 'errands' job was on blood red paper with fancy white font. If Gideon could sense magic, he'd notice something was a little off about the paper itself.

"Is that what this is about?" Axton shouted the question even as he fired at where the voice had come from. "You guys have shitty luck. I'm new in town, and all my money isn't worth jack. So your buddies died for kindling! Kinda funny actually." he continued as he took a moment to lean against a wall to take a breather. He considered trying to start a fire just to create some more light in this ally. "Why don't you do us all a favor and come out where I can see you, eh?" he casually suggested before spitting out some blood that had worked it's way into his mouth.

"That so? Well, if you do get the job, hope you don't need t'prepare anything too exotic like... jellyfish soufle, just t'name something wierd. Though it wouldn't suprise me'f they had wierder things out there." Gideon commented, chuckling slightly to himself as he imagined various buzzare dishes. "Doesn't that errend job you got there not pay you any cash, though?"

Not having anything in the way of a sixth sense, Gideon didn't notice anything off about the paper, other then that it looked a little on the fancy side for being a help wanted ad.

"I bet!" Bruce got into his car and took off when Jeff also had got into it. He'd follow the trainer's guiding, grumbling about the other drivers as he did.

"Don't take us fa fools, boy." The voice hoarsely hissed as three glints, each one creating a small arc around Axton's position. As he fired, the glint had shifted quickly. The voice sounded a bit more hoarse, notably so, after the movement. "We're conmen after all, so getting some chump to take fake money ain't a thing to us... Hand it all over, boy. Last chance."
Amelia tilted her head as she walked, taking a turn away from the temple and looking over the area. "Hmm... I think that's actually a thing on my world though. I've heard it's pretty amazing too.... b-but you're right... Hopefully, it'll be stuff I'm... s-sort of used to." She looked over the errand paper once more and pointed near the bottom. "It says here they'll pay in cash too. And maybe learning more magic will find me some magic-related job too..." She seemed to think on this as she walked, and then began to drool a small bit as her mind went back to the jellyfish souffle.
As they drove across the city, they'd stop at what looked like your average Chinatown: gritty, dank, with clothes on clotheslines creating a pale multicolored canopy over the area. A few people rode around on bikes, some wearing bodysuits with red accents. Others with long rimmed wizard hats and long robes strutted around, chuckling to themselves as they bantered amongst one another in a foreign language. Other less extravagant looking people, though some were alien in appearance, simply walked around or sold things on the streets in little run-down shacks. The streets were too small for normal cars to fit, so Jeff exited the car and waited for Bruce to do the same.

Axton considered this for a moment, then decided to use one of his favorite tricks. "Alright, fine. Here." he said as he threw down his turret without activating it, so that it simply looked like a cinder-block sized metal box. "Money's in there. Just press the button." he said as he continued to wait for his shields to fully recharge.

"Not something I'd be ver weager t'try. I like my foods to be chewable, thank you very much. None'f that stuff that'll slide down your throat all on its own." Gideon commented, smiling slightly as he momentarily looked into the distance. When Amelia took a turn away from the temple, Gideon stopped walking, and glanced to the screen of his phone. "Is there somewhere you gotta be, because that shrine's this way." He stated, pointing to the street to his right.

Bruce stepped out and locked the car, then took out a small note from a pocket and placed it on the windscreen.
Anyone who touches me car will find a whole world a pain!
He then followed Jeff, putting his helmet on.
"Right, these blokes use fire do they?"

"I was just gonna wander around a l-little bit. I already look over the garden, and I shouldn't need to again for another few hours or so." Amelia explained, before scratching behind one of her horns. "There isn't much to do in there... and I'm not looking eager to running two jobs at the same time... so I wanted to look for another place to live nearby."
The bandits all looked to each other before one stepped out toward the box and pressed the button, unaware of the deadly contents of it.
"Yes, they do. That armor of yours will hold up, right?" He asked as he looked at the poster. "Alright... We're looking for some girl with scarlet hair, yellow eyes and a witch hat. Medium build and a bit short. Apparently, she's the leader of the group. She, in particular, is wanted alive. Everyone else is expendable." He explained as he looked around the area.

As soon as the button was pressed the turret deployed. The gun wouldn't have any trouble with the darkness, so unless the bandits were hiding themselves in some special way, it would lock onto them pretty quickly. "You might want to run. Or just keep standing in front of it. Either way." Axton said with a cocky grin.
