We Are Our Avatars VIII: Interdimensional Jaunt. (Closed up, thanks for playing.)

As Steve got up Franky got at his controls, aiming a laser at Steve's hand as he raised it to Amelia. He wouldn't be able to fire it to flat out stop Steve, not having been charged to be lethal by any stretch, but would hopefully interrupt the lightning so that Steve couldn't fully unload a stream at Amelia.

At the same time Franky quickly charged towards the man, making the ground up alarmingly fast.

Steve was hit by Franky's laser, and stumbled, being hit by the first two shots of Amelia's Mazio. He managed to dive forward, ending up on the ground but avoiding the last 3 Mazios.

Seeing Franky barreling forward and not wanting to risk putting him in the crossfire of her spell, she focused herself once more, storing up a bit of energy to make her next attack pack more power to it, in case Franky wouldn't finish the job himself.

OoC: Amelia used Mind Charge.

After a while of wondering around the dorms, Gideon had grown as bored as he was restless. Walking back to the bed again, he sat down at the edge and put his shoes back on. Deciding he waited in the dorms for long enough, he approached the lift, and looked over if there was a button to call it, and would press this if there was.

Gideon would see there was no button to call the lift. He would, however, hear the lift coming down.

Franky might not know exactly what Amelia was doing, but seeing her just standing there would give a good indication given the lightning attack from before. He made a hard right as he drifted in front of Steve. Although the whole thing only took a few moments given his speed, Franky would have shot an oil slick of sorts that was normally used to blind animals that thought that attacking the racer's was a good idea. It wouldn't hurt him really at all, but since he was on the ground from dodging the previous attack, Franky thought there wouldn't be likely for him to get out of the way.

Franky would then speed by, which would give Amelia the clear to fire.

Steve attempted to stand, only to slip in the oil slick and slam his head on the ground. He growled, and ignited his hands, lighting the oil slick. His skin quickly began cooking, but he seemed not to care. Slowly, he got himself to stand, crackling from the heat.

 

[Chungus]

"Sure. No need to add a way to call the lift, or hell, a simple stairwell. No, if there's a fire--which is bound to happen sooner or later--we'll all just sit quietly and burn to death..." Gideon muttered to himself upon noting there didn't seem to be a way to call the lift. Hearing the lift coming down, he looked up, slipping his hands into his pockets while glancing around to see if there were cameras or sensors nearby.

With Franky clearing the way, Amelia pointed her rapier toward Steve once more. [color=ff7777] "Ziodyne!" [/color] Pointing her rapier toward Steve once more, she shot out her own stream of rippling electricity toward him. The beam was just as potent as her Zionga was, but would last longer, potentially hurting more if the beam connected. Once the shot was over, Amelia's shoulders would move up and down a bit as she began to take deeper breaths, the spellcasting taking more than a bit out of her.

Franky continued along making another round along, although still no where near in the line of sight for Amelia. 'He ignited it!? Himself!? And nothing?' Franky's eyes widened. 'This ADAM is nuts!'

Franky quickly flicked a switch as a set of micro fired off from the ball as it continued rolling. These things wouldn't be highly destructive, being a lower grade than other things he had, but given he didn't know how weak the walls of this place were, he didn't want to kill everyone with a flood. Regardless, these missiles were meant for damaging racing vehicles, and thus would still hurt.

Steve had managed to switch his current powers to ice just before he was blasted with Zionga's big brother, which slammed him into a wall and left him reeling. This left him exposed to the missiles, which detonated against him, sending beautiful arcs of giblets spraying artfully through the air.

Ryan raised his eyebrow. "I knew WAOA teams were impressive, but not that impressive..." he muttered to himself.

Gideon would see NOTHING. and he would hear the elevator slowing, and stopping at his floor, though it didn't open yet.

 

[Chungus]

Seeing nothing that would hint at his pressense infront of the elevator, Gideon wondered if the elevator coming down meant the group returning. These thoughts then lead to him thinking that with how long they've been away, it could mean that it wasn't them returning. Gritting his teeth, he glanced around for a place to hide, and not seeing anything he could get to in time, opted to press his back against the wall.

Seeing parts of Steve flying through the air, Amelia sighed and clasped her hands in a small prayer once again before looking over toward Franky and giving his ball a salute, her standing at attention and her right hand, curled in a fist against her heart while her left arm was behind her back. [color=ff7777] "Nice work, Franky. That went much more smoothly than anticipated." [/color] She said, appreciation obvious in her tone, though she was a bit tired as well.

Now looking toward Ryan, she nodded. [color=ff7777] "We assume that we won't need to worry much about another uprising for a while, yes?" [/color]

Franky stopped as he noticed Steve... explode. "Um... Oops." He managed to breath, sounding like he didn't mean to say that bit out loud, and not entirely expecting that to happen given how Steve had been struck by lightning and didn't seem to worry too much about it. "Uh... Amelia... you ok?" He said, his voice seemed slightly flustered again.

After being saluted, there was a bit of a pause. " Uh... Thanks babe."

Amelia gave Franky a small nod in return. [color=ff7777] "...Yes, I'm fine... Are you? You sound a little shook up..." [/color] She said, tilting her head a bit.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Ya I'm fine... Just didn't expect quite that result." Franky replied. "If we're done, I want to get the hell outta here." he said as the ball turned and headed for the door they came from.

Amelia nodded as she followed. [color=ff7777] "Right... Let's be off... hopefully, those in that back room won't still be looking for blood. ...We'll have to find the others as well..." [/color]

Samus nodded to the Little Sister. "If it's safe there, go."

Ryan glared at Amelia and Franky as they left. "You know, untying me might go over rather well back home, rather then leaving me here. sitting on kindling. That any drunken fool could find and decide to ignite."

The little sister glanced at Samus and Blondie one last time, before running to the vent. She grabbed the edge of it, and squirmed up to the face of the vent, pulling herself inside and disappearing from view.
