Shana was getting a little insulted as she rolled her eyes. But her voice remained at a low volume. "It's not like that. The only ones that have been maniacal are the ones from Odin's Demise. And they can't use their abilities because they're filled with aggression. And the abilities only arrive when a person is over 18. Your snarky tone does not work to create comedy out of anything negative here."
"I wasn't being snarky...or I want trying to be." I say, frowning at Shana's shift in mood. "I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to antagonize you." I say, trying to smooth things over.
"Let's just leave it alone for now and move on to a lighter topic. Favorite food, maybe?" I ask, trying to put that unpleasantness behind us.
"I see. So it's kind of like getting a tattoo. You should only go to a good place. Any recommendations? Maybe whoever made you?" I joke while discreetly fishing for information.

Sarah got back to the truck, then searched for sunscreen in her backpack. After a bit of time, she found it, and put some of it on her hand, while listening to the others talk.

She swam to the riverbank and stood on the side of it.
Her outfit, including her face, did not appear to be wet. Seemingly the spell had absorbed the water, somehow.
