Shortly after Faa took to the skies, Ahriman settled into listening to the conversation between Lambda and Zevrisya. He briefly watched Lambda during this time, noticing with mild interest the faint mechanical noises, inaudible to human ears, that suggested non-organic components internally grafted to her body. While the surgical handiwork was masterful, leaving her without any apparent scars or crude joining of woman and machine, he was not especially taken aback by the sight, having seen plenty of individuals, mortal and Astartes with augmetic implants, to say nothing of the Priesthood of Mars. In any case, technology was not a keen interest of his and so he soon ceased his observation.
Only when the two mortal women spoke of the hotel, and the others stationed there did Ahriman speak up again to make his intention to accompany them known. When Zevrisya took off at a run, Ahriman joined her with an easy, loping pace that was surprising both in the speed it allowed him and in the hammering blows that perceptibly vibrated the pavement.
