What do you think is Mel Brook's greatest work? My personal favorite is History of The World Part I.

I am mad that there wasn't a History of the World Part 2.
Who wouldn't love to see Grant and Lee perform their singing duet? (made up stuff there)
Lest we forget Hitler on ice.

Young Frankenstein. Thought this also was generally seen as his best film but maybe I am wrong or not enough of the younger posters have seen it.

I'm just looking at the list of films he starred in on imdb, and he was in two Muppet movies! I haven't seen either of them but I'll go for that because hell, puppets rule!

Mel Brook, always proving that It's Good to Be the King.

I still have to go with Blazing Saddles. It was the first Brooks movie I saw and it's still my favorite

I liked Spaceballs best, was a great film. Though, your title confused me at first and I started wondering if he had died or something (he is getting on in years).
