Cool, I have a badge for seeing the 11th game of Christmas. With only the slight problem that I should be seeing 12th. And the further slight problem that I can't see a fucking thing because the page doesn't actually work.

Same here, I'm seeing BF3, the 11th game. Looks like it just went ahead and skipped right past DA2. As a completionist, I am disappointed. (yes, I wanted to get all twelve badges, call me silly)

Also just seeing Battlefield on 11. And i actually voted for Dragon Age II. Well, good to know the game made it to the list. I really enjoyed it and it got too much flak for it's flaws.

Didn't you actually read the article? They're going to be showing one game per day in the days leading up to Christmas. It's the Twelve Games of Christmas, not the Twelve Games of the Fourteenth of December.

Also, where are the results numbers? Skyrim was killing it the first day, before the numbers went secret. I want to see how badly all the other games lost.

It comes from a Christmas song that you are forced to endure as a child in North America.

Edit (since it posted and booted me from the site more than once): It also has significance in various religious affiliations that celebrate Christmas.

I'm not surprised Dragon Age made the cut, although personally I find it average at best. I have the same feelings towards Portal 2 (if it makes it)

Maybe there should be a list for the top 12 polarizing games of the year. You know, the games that make people take sides and start flame wars and such.

I wonder how much EA had to pay to get DA2 up there. With all the overall negative reception DA2 got (other than by pro reviewers, of course), it will be a shame to see all the excellent games that didn't make this list. Damn I hate that game.

Yeah, definitely amazing how much money they had to pay each community member to vote for the game. Apparently, some people actually enjoyed the game (myself included).

Now let me be the first to point out what the article said: This was voted on by the members of The Escapist community such as you and me. Every one got one chance to pick their favourite and based on those numbers the top 12 was compiled. So in summary, EA didn't pay any of us. Many people here genuinely like the game. While I wouldn't put it into my top 12, I understand why it's there.

I'm a little mad that two EA games have gotten spots so far, (yeah, news flash I hate EA like the plague) I would reeeeeeeally like to see EA crash and burn, and it isn't happening.
