It's nearly impossible for me to consistently get the timing right for a block/ counter attack combo in Third Person Adventure games (DMC, GOW, Ninja Gaiden, etc.). I might get lucky every now and then, but for the most part, I end up getting hit and loosing a chunk of health.
I also have trouble learning and preforming combos in both fighting games and third person adventure games. To this day, I've never learned every single combo for my preferred character/weapon. I'll just learn a few and spam the living hell out of them (like Scorpion's spear move and teleport punch from the early Mortal Kombat games).
And in sandbox games (GTA, SR, etc.) I generally suck ass at the ,almost always, required racing missions. I end up having to play them more than a few times before I finally beat them.

My friend, I have seen threads like this before that basically devolve into: "I am bad at being perfect because I can only get top score in call of duty matches while somersault kicking flaming footballs through field goals at 50 yards away and making your girlfriend leave you for me, as opposed to doing the same thing at 60 yards away."

That said, I suck at First Person shooters. I used to be really good at FPS's on PC's and decent on consoles, but the people online are just so far ahead of me now it's ridiculous. It's like playing against cyborgs. I get shot ten times in the head from 6 different angles and never see the shooters before I can hit the ground and if I somehow manage to catch somebody who's expended all their ammo they backwards dive off a building to safety while planting a knife in between my eyes.

After seeing a post about "Gaming Weaknesses" and discovering it was about what games you feel compelled to get, I thought a thread about things you suck at in gaming would be interesting.

For me, I suck at a lot of things actually.

- Dual-analog controls for FPS (for FP games in general) are things I just can't do well.
- RPGs in general because I don't bother to read important background info or learn the ways to make your character the best possible.
- Rhythm games are also something I can't do well. With enough songs, I get competent, but I only ever really go up to medium difficulty at best.

So what say you escapists? What are your weaknesses in gaming? What do you suck at and are willing to admit?
It's not so much that I suck at games as I just don't give enough of a shit to play on the hardest difficulties anymore.

I play games for story and the easier difficulties let me pace at my leisure. I ramped up a lot of games to 11 when I started but never had nearly half as much fun as I did when playing on the easier difficulties.

That said, I don't like it too easy. I don't want a cake walk, I want involvement, I just don't want to have the stress of paying absolute attenting rammed in my face.

I have been gaming for close to 2 decades now, and my reflexes are still shit. I am hopeless at twitch reflexes and realtime combat. I can only play first-person stuff like Fallout if I can snipe from about a million miles away and/or have companions. I really want Skyrim but I'm afraid I will suck so hard at the single-player combat that I will never do anything in the game and just piss around for hours avoiding fights like I did in Oblivion.

Wii Fit keeps kicking my ass....

Seriously though, I suck as fighting games, and don't really have the interest in them to get better. I hate team sports games, like Fifa or Madden

Relying on online. My net connection is very.... inconsistent. I've had high ranking fights and disconnected because my dumbass brother decides to start ironing or something ridiculous.

I also get really angry if my games are affected by lag. Tekken 6 frustration may have just shortened my life span with stress.

...When playing a medic or a similar role in a shooter game, I tend to accidentally block small passages while trying to heal an ally while that very same ally is try to run through the passage to get away from the things killing him and as I've learned from playing killing Floor and Left 4 Dead, I'm apparently quite stubborn when it comes to choosing what building to hide in/defend/camp.

Also, I'm a slow aimer and am not very accurate, which is sort of bad when playing competitive First Person shooters... at least I have automatic weapons and Shotguns though.

And for Real-time strategy games I tend to play it quite defensive, although that would mostly be because my first experience with a strategy game was Empire Earth, and with Large map on, all of possible NPC civilizations playing and large islands on it was quite a turtle game...

As for RPG's I tend to go through a few levels with a character and just go "I don't really like this class, time to reroll...".
