A Handheld Burning Diode Laser Ray gun. Initial design had a 1 watt continuous output at wavelengths from .7 to 1 micron. Bastard cost me 200 bucks, at least.

I have also been making diagrams for Gauss Rifles and the odd sword.

The closest thing to a weapon I made is a wooden claymore for a Halloween costume. It obviously wouldn't be too effective in combat.

Ive made my fair share. Smoke bombs, real bombs, a handful of spears, a pvc pipe with a nail through it, 2 hairspray pvc cannons and one pneumatic cannon.

For those who don't know about the amazing world of shoulder-mounted potato-shooting goodness, http://www.spudfiles.com/

No thanks necessary :D

I got a prank call saying "You are #23 on a list of 25 people I want dead,"
So, I took a BB gun(rifle) and taped (duct tape) 2 knives to the sides of the barrel to make a lance.

I've got a knife.

It's a medium-sized knife.

Didn't make it, though.

I like my knife.

Madness aside, I've been known to make bombs and fire-hazards out of everything, unintentionally. I once made a bread explode in home economics. That was fun.

How about a spring loaded ferret-in-a-box...suprise your friends! I once made the simplest of weapons after someone tried to mug me for money when I was walking out to my car after work one night, it is a foot-and-a-half or so length of thick climbing rope with a large knot tied in the end. And of course I once did the homemade flamethrower thing with a lighter and a can of hairspray foolishly when I was in my early teens. Other than I don't go around making a lot of homemade weapons...but I do like to play with real swords.

I made a potatogun once; 60 cm long pvc-tube as a barrel, a pvc chamber, a lighter and a holder for a can of hairspray.
two triggers; one for spraying in hairspray into the chamber, the other to fire. It was fitted with a crosshair for long ranges(Believe me, that gun could fire a potato 300 meters away if there was no wind).
Now it resides in the shed, waiting to be used once more.

I have a handmade recurve bow that I carved in my garage and twenty arrows.

I also memorized the recipe for a pipe bomb. You know, just in case.

I've built...
A railgun: It's about 6500 joules, running off of a capacitor bank connected to some batteries used in fighter planes I bought on a govt. auction site. Theoretically portable, punches holes through a hood I bought at a junkyard.

Coilguns: Quite a few, most built using disposable cameras. The largest uses an old Super Soaker as the body and can punch through a glass Coke bottle.

Rocket Launcher with 8 shot revolving magazine, features a gas seal system: Made from PVC, originally used to shoot mortar shells for firework worthy events, later modified to shoot home made model rocket based rockets, no warheads yet cause it's illegal.

Plunger Cannon: Made from PVC and uses air pressure to fire plungers in homemade sabots. Max distance: 350 ft. Also fires homemade paintball grapeshot rounds quite well. Could probably be made to fire homemade ball bearing grapeshot rounds, too.

Super Flare Rifle: Shoots flares, has a removable magazine. Bolt action. Why? Cause it's awesome on the 4th of July.

I made Napalm- Molotov Cocktails, Regular Molotov Cocktails, C4, I fashioned a spear when I was a kid, and a bow and arrows. Oh and a bomb :)
Nice repertoire, Senor Cocal.

I've made a highly effective glove-gun as a child, used ball bearings as ammo and they would embed into thick-set trees.

Napalm - drop a load of styrofoam into a bowl of fuel - results in a very sticky substance that burns for extended periods of time.

Also I was highly proficient at explosives - mainly small (cherry) bombs with surprisingly high-yield (back when you could still purchase the necessary resources from Granny Mays and the likes).
My biggest accomplishment was a butane bomb that left a small crater in concrete and launched my Gi-Joe action figure about 30 metres to the East, albeit it was a Gi-Joe with 50% less limbs after the blast ;)

Sorry, I had to...

I did that thing where I take a sharp rock and tie it to a straight stick to make a spear. I flaked the rock at a river near my house, and now the fucker is pretty sharp. I'm thinking about making an atlatl for it, to give it a bit more power.
